Father/Daughter dance

I think its still done traditionally....but nowadays people can do what they like, as long as everyone knows what they're doing I guess.

My dads not much of a dancer either. I want to try and keep it a surprise for them. Their favourite song is Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi, so I was thinking they could have their little dance on their own and then get all the couples on the dance floor so that they dont feel uncomfortable. I know this would bring a tear to my mums eye (not that I want to make her cry!) and hopefully would understand the sentiment behind it as they have been a huge support.

I'm not giving any one a choice, although the thought of a first dance terrifies me I really want one, and I also want to dance with my dad because I don't discuss my feelings for him out loud.

I did but my Dad had arranged it with the DJ so was a nice surprise, he got so emotional. We had 'I loved her first' x

I'm going to get some blow up guitars and rock out with my Dad to 'Sweet Child of Mine' because he's a bit of an aging rocker ?

There are no rules anymore 2bgreen! Just do whatever you want. Occasionally people do a father / daughter dance after the first dance. I usually find that people are itching to get on the dance floor to something upbeat ASAP though!
