Father/Daughter dance song...

I think we're having Nights in white satin by The Moody Blues. My dad took me to see them and it's one of our favourite songs

This might be a silly question but is a father / daughter dance a traditional part of the day?

Thats a lovely choice and i doubt you will be the only one tearing up . I love the lyrics of the song and think it would make for a beautiful moment between you and your dad.

I was deciding between that one and ' I loved her first' by Heartland which is what we're having now.

Because you loved me was one i really like but it was played at my Papa's funeral (dad's dad) in feb so I cant have that now as I would think of Papa and be in tears. It was quite sudden death and I'm only just getting round to the fact that he wont see me get married (I'm his only grand daughter) so really dont want to be reminded that he not with us.

Think Im having 'I loved her first' by heartland (still not 100% sure im deff having a F/D dance yet tho)

I wanted something a bit more upbeat but struggling to think of anything, I think if it was anything too soppy we would both be embarrassed!
