Favour boxes

HilaryE, 19 September, 2014 at 19:46 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi, my daughter is having square favour boxes in each table place with foil wrapped chocolates inside. What would you use to 'pad' around the chocs please?

Thought tissue paper but unsure whether to use shredded or not (thinking of the mess!).

Thanks for any suggestions

    Why do you need padding?

Ive never had a box of roses/quality street etc... with padding

I would use ruffled tissue paper to be honest, I do think the shredded might be a bit messy! Smiley smile

I would also question why padding? We're not having any in ours. Do you think they need it or is it purely aesthetic?

I wouldn't say you need it, it's purely aesthetic, I think it looks nice in your wedding colours though and fills the box up a bit if its just a couple of chocs/tablet etc in it.

Usually there's no tissue paper, just the chocolates in foil. If you like the idea of paper then I'd go for a single piece, not shredded!

We have 4x4cm boxes so the five pieces of tablet fill them up pretty well. They have ribbon, so I wouldn't wanna introduce another colour in there. If the chocs are rattling round, would smaller boxes not be better?

If you'd like something else in there, then a single sheet would look better, IMO. It kind of adds a bit of extra mystery as they move it to one side to see what's inside.

I do agree it's not necessary, but if you want the extra 'padding' then that's my opinion on the best way to do it Smiley smile

Im having some mini eggs in our boxes, so will be using a bit of tissue paper to line the boxes Smiley smile Just a little bit of tissue paper makes it look much better Smiley smile
