Favour place cards [update]

LeedsBride, 16 June, 2012 at 22:23 Posted on Planning 0 40

I was wondering if I could get some thoughts on these favours which I am hoping I can also use as place cards.

I got some little plain boxes from eBay and not sure how to 'dress' them. Here are a few options (feel free to suggest other things)

<pictures removed - please see page 2 for update>

(This one would just have a square name tag)

Thanks in advance!

Middle or me too. The lower just 'makes it'.

Or could do a combination, but is this is a bit over the top?

Is it the same flower one the second pic as the first pic ??....as it seems bigger.

I liked the flower in the top one but if its the same flower I'd go for the ribbon.

Love the flower one I agree with 2b mrsb that I prefer the smaller flower though. Re ribbon I think it's pretty but if you are having boxes with patterned paper I don't think I would have flower and ribbon as well as for me it gets very busy

The lilac flower is too big, but I do like the smaller one, maybe ribbon would still work if it was the same colour as the small flower ?

Thanks ladies, here it is with the smaller flower, I might take off the patterned paper though as it looks a bit busy

I like this one. I also don't think it looks too busy, but can see on a table with lots it might. How about having some with plain paper (for men for example) and some with patterned for ladies?

Agree! Love the 3rd one in the OP.

Do consider what they will look like on the tables too, in conjunction with any other table decorations/stationery/crockery you plan to have.

Love this idea-the ribbon 1 in your OP is lovely and looks as nice without the patterned paper aswel so that would look really good!

Thanks ladies, I appreciate the help ? I know I'm probably over-thinking things but I like to try different ideas. How about this one?

Just a little update. I've finally decided on the decoration of my favour boxes. I made some ribbon roses using a tutorial on youtube, and think they look quite nice, and are simple to make (I decided the paper flowers were just too fiddly and took too long). These are just the prototypes, but I'll be having a light lilac ribbon round the sides for the ladies, and a darker purpler for the gents ?

I also used some leftover purple card from my invitations for the labels.

Thanks ? I was just saying in my last post that unfortunately the paper flowers are too fiddly and take too long, so I'm going with the ribbon flowers ?
