Favourite clothes shop

Chicken, 20 May, 2009 at 11:38 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 20

I'm buying loads from ASOS (I think it may have taken over from my TS internet shopping addiction) at the moment and more and more bits from Oliver Bonas. Quite excited that Joy now has online shopping (www.joythestore.com) but I neeeeed more clothes to look at. I love shopping. Inspire me.

Ooh dodgy website, that Joy one! I used to love the shops when I lived in London though, lots of unusual stuff.

My two faves at the mo are All Saints and [whisper] River Island - I got some amazing jeans from there the other day, I feel a right little gangster in them ?

I lust after Reiss (spesh the shoes) but I don't have the occasion to wear most of it, plus I seem to be a size 11 so everything is either too tight or too big - gah!

I love Warehouse and Ted Baker.

I also go on the Net a Porter and Browns websites on a daily basis but that's just to lust after the stuff on there.

Reiss doesn't really flatter me either. Think my boobilage is too big. Will look at RI and NL. Also Urban Outfitters is worth a look.

Reiss, Topshop, Warehouse and French Connection. Espeshully French Connection.

Belfast has an awesome wee shop called liberty blue that sells lovely kooky bits and pieces, like Urban Outfitters but better.

Since our recent house purchase, I have found some real gems in a couple of chav-esque shops, and of course nobody else has them, which is fab.

I quite like River island sometimes too, although chossing one shop is too hard. I give up.

High streetwise, Whistles and All Saints, otherwise it's all internet shopping for me.

Net-a-porter, asos, my-wardrobe, Anna, Question-air, Hervia, Farfetch, Urban Outfitters, Matches, Browns fashion, think thats about it.

Joules is nice for sweatshirts, quite like Toast too.

I love Office for shoes, TS, ASOS and RI for clothes. RI jeans are brilliant. I tried a pair on just before going on hols but they were too big. As soon as I can, I'm going to order the size down and wear them every day with the label hanging out.

I could feed my new addiction to Desigual there, too. Every other shop in Barcelona is one, and I loooof them.

Ooh yes Flump, lets! I love Westfields. Not only does it have lots of shops, space and food places it's 2 seconds from where I grew up and my spiritual home of Loftus Road. Hoorah for Shepherd's Bush.

Really? I hhhate their clothes - all that forced bright jolliness. And people with dreadlocks would wear their skirts I think. And they're so expensive.

I completely agree. I think they're the most flattering you can get at a reasonable price. I got a pair for £15 (completely by accident as I tried on about 5 pairs expecting them all to be about £40) and they're brilliant. Sadly they're too big but I can't bear to get rid of them so end up with it all bulky up under my belt. ?

I totally see why people hate them, I definately think the shop could induce an epileptic fit and/or migrane, but I got a lush black top with little buttons on it, and a lovely white skirt, so I suppose the plainer end of their spectrum.

I do love the quirkiness, though.

Sophie recommended Desigual to me as well, I think it's one of those shops where you might find a one-off piece that really rocks, but if you wore a whole ensemble it would look like someone had done a big neon vomit all over you ?

BTW, I keep hearing everyone banging on about this COS store? Has anyone checked it out? There's one at Westsiiiiiiiiiiiide. Let's do it Chook!
