Favourite word?

JK, 1 May, 2008 at 21:32 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 54

Mine's "cock". I use it all the time. Sometimes pejoratively ("what a vile pile of cock" for example), and often just to make me laugh.

"Cock-end" is great too, and can be funnier.

(I think Mr JK often finds me tiresome BTW....)

Cock.

I like "visceral" too, though obviously it doesn't have the everyday usability of "cock".

I quite like 'gubbins'. I didn't realise it was a proper word until I was looking throught the dictionary (for something else entirely) the other day. Thought it was slang!

For mild insults, I like 'chowderhead'.

For when I can't remember the name of something, 'thingmedoo'.

I was only thinking of you today ? and wondering why your email isn't on my laptop. I think it might have been downloaded on the (now) dead one (another logic board...). No matter, it's on the server and I shall mail this evening ?

    Sunny is it? ?

Bollocks and feck - I use them both far too much. Galvanising is my fave non swearie word, it just rolls off the tongue. My husband thinks I am quite weird!

My seem quite boring compared to some of yours. Mine is cherry but if I'm writing my favourite is twelfth.

I also like to hear how some people say certificate; i've lost count of how many people say sustifcate!
