    Hi

We are having favours of sorts. My hotel venue is currenlty collecting all the Mini jam jars they give to customer with breakfast, and we will sterlise them and then fill them with sweets for the wedding and stick on a lable with our names and the date of the wedding.

I liked the idea of getting from the hotel as it was sort of sending the guest away with a little piece of the venue. oh and yes it saved me a few pennies as they are not charging me for them.

We're having whisky and whisky liqueur miniatures at OH's request. I'm hoping to have tags as name places that can be tied around the neck of the bottle.

This is what we both originally decided although we would be having Baileys Mini.....perhaps we could incorporate the name card with the tag on the bottle too :-)

We wanted something but not to spend alot so we are doubling up on favours / placecards and have chocolate lollipops with people's names on which double up as both! They come wrapped in cellophane and look really nice and are less than £2 each

Myself and my FMIL will be busy making jam for my favours! I am bulk buying a load of jam jars on the internet so that they all match. The jam will be all one flavour; blackberry and apple. I will forage for blackberries up the lanes in my village, we have tons. The apples will come from FMIL's big apple tree in her garden.

Each jam jar will have a sticker on with our names and date etc (Prob from vista) and then a tag attached with each persons name, so will double up as name placecards too.

I just bought 100 personailsed chocs for £20 and then have tied them with ribbon and made a tag to put on them to say thank you, you could as you said put names on them to double up as placecards. All in all they probably cost me less than 50p each, bargain!!!

We are having a Lewis chess piece for the Gents and a local made soap for the ladies. Most of our guests are coming up from Northamtonshire, we were born and bred there. So thought it would be nice for them to take a little piece of the island back with them.

Will be placed in a purple box, tied with a white ribbon and will have a name tag on.
