Wow the world is your oyster for favours!!!!!!

It really depends on what you're after and ho wmuch to spend, i've seen some really amazing ones on my hunting and decided on vintage crackers :-) (the ones you pull not the edible type haha)

I hadn't thought of crackers, lovely idea!

I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend really. We don't have a lot of budget for them, so I keep coming back to little packets of seeds, maybe with seeds of love in a mist, which I want to have in my bouquet. Other ones I like are little organza bags filled with sugared almonds (nice and traditional, and they look pretty), or mini jars of sweets or jam with labels personalised to your day.

My worry with favours is that no one will bother to take them, I was at a wedding recently where all the ladies were given teddy bears dressed as brides, which I wasn't quite sure what to do with!

We have little paper mache boxes in manilla brown with ivory east of india ribbon over the lid (saying Live, laugh, love), filled with personalised M&Ms. Topped with a Manilla tag thats stamped with 'thank you' ( from east of india) Very quick to make and look very sweet

we had thought of sweetie filled jars too but we are already having a sweetie table so didnt want to over load with the sweet look

What time of year are you getting married? You can spend loads or not a lot depending on your budget too.

    Hi,

How about little pots of jam with fabric round the lids to match your colour scheme. My daughter had Lindt rabbits in pretty favour boxes.

    Hope that helps

I find that most edible things wont get left on the tables, whereas nik-nac, tatty things do!

Edible things are also very cheap to make, esp if you can get jars/bottles at charity shops. It doesnt matter if the jars arent all the exact same size, because with a label & things inside, no one will notice.

Biscuits or gingerbread that double as a place name if you ice names on them, coconut ice, fudge, marshmallows, peanut brittle, jams, chutney, oils infused with chilli, garlic or rosemary, packets of seeds, mini herb pots.

I did chocolates. After christmas & fathers' day, you can buy those giant 1kg blocks of cadburys really cheap. I also got a few large tobelerone blocks in dark & white chocolate. Melted each of them down & added either nuts, glazed cherries, dried fruit or coconut then put into little chocolate moulds. (I also used silicone ice cube trays that were heart shaped). Each guest got about 8 chocoaltes with different fillings & NONE were left on the tables.

Aldi, lidl, poundland & 99p store often have 'wedding' themed specials on. I got bride & groom shaped favour boxes for 10p each! They were called cake boxes, but were perfect to put the chocolates in as favour boxes. I got stickers from vistaprint thanking people for sharing in out special day, with the date & our names. All up I think they worked out less than £1 each including the chocolate, fillings, stickers & favour boxes.

Mine were similar to the ones in the pic,but had more detail on them & I added a ribbon the same as our wedding colour theme instead of the white one:

I got bogged down trying to find wedding favours - eventually went for these. The small box ones - you have a colour of your choice for the ribbon. I think £1.99 each and look great on the table.

This is just a photo from the website
