I wasn't going to do them either so I kind of compromised. We're having these cute crackers from Cox & Cox, they contain a snap, charm and love quotation...I'm going to be tying chiffon ribbon around the ends. We're going to have a couple of small bowls of coloured foiled balls on the table too so people still get a chocolate fix.

Hi I think the table crystals are beautiful and I am having them for our wedding - I ordered them from Scatter Crystals on line and they have a large selection of Swarovski crystals in different colours and sizes.

I love the garden and my Dad is growing the vegetables for our weeding breakfast so we thought we would have vegetable seeds as favors to carry on the theme and everyone can remember where they got their veg from!!

    1) Stick to your guns and don't bother with favours. Complete waste of money. In most cases they just get left behind anyway.

    2) I had table diamonds. I had clear ones and pale blue ones. They're a relatively inexpensive way of really dressing up a table. We did all our tables in them for just under £80. Everyone noticed them and commented on them. Just be careful though if you have children coming - we spent a good portion of the meal part of the day stopping one of our page boys from eating them!

Ooooooooh I love Cox & Cox! Thinking of ordering their wedding 'taster' box and also some maybe DIY star decorations. I was pretty anti-favours until I saw these! Though as I am having a bit of a star theme and a wedding in Oct, if I had crackers maybe people will think I am having an early Xmas theme! Oh well who cares!

Anyway in answer to the original question - I don't think you need favours - I think there is so much going on that people don't necessarily notice them anyway. Of course if you do want them then have them! Most of my friends who have had them have had edible things (choc or fudge or sugared almonds) in a box others have had bubbles, lottery tickets, quiz questions, mini plants or even coloured pipe cleaners (for us to get crafty as an ice breaker I think).

I'm having handmade chocolates from www.polkadots.co.uk

I'm also doubling up the favours as name tags - if you see what I mean. We're having little boxes of chocolates with leaf tags on them.

I hope some do get left behind - then I can eat them!
