Hi all, Been to so many weddings where the favour has in all honesty been a complete waste of money and never to be seen again! Hi all,

Been to so many weddings where the favour has in all honesty been a complete waste of money and never to be seen again!

Not sure I want to spend money on something for the sake of it when that money could go to something towards entertainment etc...

What's the protocol for favours? anyone else not bothered?

I had an idea about incorportating the table plan and favours together.....have drinks (each quest favourite ie mini bottles of wine, baileys etc) and have a talbe tag on them so they actually get something! What do you think?

Other than that it's lottery tickwts fr the men and edibles for the ladies but it just feels to samey! (hope ive not offended anyone)

I have been undecided since the onset of planning our day as to waht to do about favours and originally said i wasn't going to have any as we are not having a wedding breakfast we are having a BBQ but my OH thinks it is a nice touch to say a lil thanks for making the effort to come and celebrate with us so when the canopies and welcome drinks are served i will be having 2 small baskets on a table one with men and one with ladies on them and a sign between the 2 saying please help yourself.

The ladies will be getting 2 medium lindt heart chocolates and the men 4 foil covered footballs all in organza bags.
