I did hand made chocolates. I melted chocolate then added different things, coconut, mixed fruit, cherries etc, the put into heart shaped moulds. Each guest got about 8 chocs each.

A theme of red/white makes me think of blackpool rock and candy canes. You can have it personalised too, then add a little ribbon & card to thank guests sharing in your special day.

I don't have a flash as I have all the parts but haven't assembled yet. Each guest is getting a mini bottle of champagne and a creme egg ( as it's Easter weekend) wrapped in cellophane with a cute ribbon and a striped straw.

My guests are each getting a jar of homemade jam. Either raspberry, strawberry or blackberry. My MOH spent all summer making the jam!

We're having Mimi eggs and hair I hearts and rings in mini grey and white stripped sweetie bags. They'll have a named sticker on so they can double up as place cards. Cheap, multifunctional, edible and easy!

We're having miniature hanging decorations of houses bought from Etsy. We'll be Mr and Mrs 'House', so it's something that people can add to their xmas tree and think of our wedding!

We are doing several favours. For the day guests we are doing personalised wine glasses which will double up as place settings. On the front we have their name and on the back is our initials and wedding date. I have painted the base of the glasses with an opaque blue ceramic paint and then tied a ribbon with a gemstone into a bow. The wine glasses were 6 for £1.25 from Ikea, the ceramic paint was about £3.50 and the lettering was done with water decals. These will be hand washable.

For the kids I have made an activity box:

And for the evening guests we have little scented candles in glass votives.

Our colour scheme is red and champagne and we are having little organza bags filled with Poppy seeds. Poppy is the name of our cat and they obviously have strong links to the military which is important to my fiancé. Plus once our guests have planted them the red colour scheme will continue in their gardens. Hopefully a nice reminder of our special day!

This may turn out to be too ambitious but I'm planning on making mini hangover kits including hand stitched eye masks (I've seen a tutorial online and they seem easy enough and I can use fabric in my theme colours) plus mini bottles of water and some kind of paracetamol in a little box. I figure these would be relatively cheap as fabric can come from ebay although I've not looked into the other elements yet.

I've also seen ideas like bags of popcorn or marshmallows which could have your wedding colours incorporated by a simple ribbon

We are having wine glass charms. I made them myself for about £21 for 90, they are very easy to make. I made some for Christmas as well (red and white one in the picture).
