Favours!! Help!! please!!

Naboo, 2 March, 2011 at 16:26 Posted on Planning 0 18

I am really struggliong to decide what to do for favours!! My theme is vintage/shabby chic so i want something to go in with that, something they can keep and not something edible (and not too expensive but cost not too massive issue as only 15 guests)!!

Any ideas/suggestions would be great or even just flash your own favours so i can get some inspiration!! I just cant seem to find the right thing grrr

Thanks in advance x

H2Bs dad died of cancer a few years ago, so we're giving a donation to the hospice that looked after him, instead of getting 'proper' favours, aswell as giving a homemade packet of sunflower seeds for the guests to plant as a reminder of our day, sunflowers being both the flowers in my bouquet, as well as the symbol of the hospice (just a coincidence!), on the sunflower packets ive written, "plant these seeds ad=nd think of this special day".

    Thanks for the suggestions guys

amy00003 I think that is a lovely idea, I havent got a charity with a special meaning like you have but I think it is a really great way to bring missing loved ones into the day. I have been thinking about seeds or seed paper but not found any that look right with the table

Rachel2907, I love not on the high street, I have looked on there, I like the seed packet ideas but the packaging doesnt really go

Lilypond, as you may have gathered i was thinking maybe seeds if i can find some that have packaging that looks vintagey, all the ones I have found have been too brightly coloured, did think sapling trees but not found anwhere I can reasonably get them from

Kayl, thanks for those ideas, I like the keyrings, where are they from?

If you are feeling crafty you could make the favours... I have made vintage fabric lavender hearts as mine. They will be used afterwards and will look pretty on the tables...

I'm gonna have to stop googling now - we have 150 guests so this would cost a fortune! haha

It's an American site, although there are some UK based sellers on there, plus American ones who will ship to the UK. You can change the currency, the link is right at the bottom of the home page, it'll say 'US Dollar' but if you click on it you can set it to display prices in UK pounds instead. Also, about halfway down on the left, there's a box saying 'Ship To..' - if you change this to UK you'll get just those sellers who ship to the UK.
