For people attending the full wedding we are doing minature whisky for the guys and 2 Ferreo Rocher in a box for the women.

Then, cos we are having an Easter wedding we are planning to have Creme Eggs for all at night.

We didn't have favours as such as I wasn't keen on the extra expense. We had thistles as napkin tuck ins, which looked lovely on the tables and tied in with flowers. Lots of people took them away as a keepsake. They were only 50p each from the florist.

I think we are going to do little boxes of alcohol of some kind...maybe little champers bottles although thats a bit expensive. Our way of buying everyone a drink as we're not having a free bar!

We're having hand made lollies, as they remind me of holidays to Derbyshire when I was a kid, and that's where we got engaged. They are about £17 for 50 lollies, making them cheap too.

We got mini crackers from Cox & Cox, they're very sweet, they have a love quotation and trinket inside (no hat!), i'm tying thin silver organza ribbon around the ends...more of a novelty than a keepsake.

We've got charity pins for all the day guests - split three ways Great Ormond Street, Birthmark Support Group and Everyman Cancer. Three charities whom without them, my niece and my OH's brother would not still be with us.

We're not having favours but more gifts. Because we're only having 14 couples to the wedding we thought it would be nicer to give them more of a special gift to say thank you for travelling all the way to Portugal to be with us, instead of leaving them on the table, we will be giving them out personally.

Each couple are getting a special portuguese influenced gift of some pottery from the famous Porches district.

The ladies are also getting pink fans on their chairs in case it gets too hot during the ceremony.

H2b has sorted little bottles of scottish whiskey for the men, and i am yet to sort the favours for the women - it'll probably be hotel chocolat bits. i know someone that knows someone - tenuous, i know! - that works for them, so can hopefully get me some bits cheap!

We're having little pots of jams and chutney and printing our own labels - the little jam jars cost under £50 for about 200 and my mother is making the jam and caramelised red onion chutney to put in them.

We're having boxes of hand made chocolate mint leaves with name tags on them. They're being made by www.polkadots.co.uk

Here are some pics of the mock ups. The name tags aren't right - I made them from a TK Maxx receipt just to see what they looked like!

We didn't have them as neither of us are keen on the idea of favours (just a personal opinion). For each table we bought a box of Hotel Chocolat Caramel Sweethearts for people to have with coffee, they went down well!

I think we are having scratch cards for the guests, not very original but I think it can be used as a conversation started on the tables. Who knows...someone could win big!!
