February 2012 Brides!

I'm not but I was a Feb 2011 bride! and I remember this time last year ? enoy the build up, Christmas will soon come and then it will be January and then you will go eeeekkk!

I know it will soon be here as we have my dads birthday, then OH birthday, then my birthday, then my sisters birthday, then christmas, then MIL birthday, then dress fitting 1, then makeup trial, then dress fitting 2, hen and stag do's, then only 3 weeks!! ARGH!!! x

Feb 2012 bride here, well invites went out a few weeks ago and getting RSVP's which is exciting loving the post at the minute, my dress has been in for about 6 weeks already been to try it on and first fitting is in a month! hopefully BM dresses will be in December time. OH has ordered suits, we have our pre wedding shoot next week!

We have everything booked its just the little details, confirming how many readings we want and music for the day think we are nearly there though!

I am now counting down the weeks, in fact my OH downloaded me a countdown on my phone so i keep looking and realising that after 2 years its nearly here eeek

I had intended to send me invites out earlier but I didn't get round to even start making them!! Hoping to finish them this weekend.

I was really late ordering the BM dresses so they will be in end of January (cutting it fine!) I'm quite enjoying the planning at the moment as it's less booking things and handing over money, and more making all the little bits and buying and the things that will make it personal and pretty!

I know, i can't beleive how quickly its's come around, we've nearly been engaged for 18mths and remember thinking it would take so long to get here. Now it's only 7 weeks till Christmas and after that it will be here so quickly!

Hi Gabbance i am the 25th so one week after you! I was quite late ordering my BM dresses so the woman in the shop put that i was getting married in Jan so the dresses would be in by december.

Think i am doing my hen on the 28th, although i am trying to get out of it as i am not a drinker and i would hate to be out in bars and nightclubs so not my thing, probably will just go for a meal with some work friends and by BM but trying to keep it cheap as its just after christmas.

We have been together forever! and engaged for 6 years already but finally decided to get round to getting married 2 years ago and found the venue with 23 months to go! so it has been a long countdown.

Excellent flashes ladies!

Dani - I am not a big drinker, but we are going to see 'sing-a-long-a Grease' (I LOVE the film, and it has all the words on screen and people to 'warm' you up and you get a party bag and stuff, and out for a meal, but I think we will go out into town afterwards.

My h2b doesn't drink at all, and he is going to centre parcs for the weekend, so people who want to drink can take alcohol, and they are doing paintballing, quad biking and other things like that. How about a spa break as people will be able to pay now (so don't run out of money after christmas) and it's not going out drinking?

I managed to finish my invites this weekend and stamped all our day guests names on little tags for the favours. It took my bl00dy hours but I was so pleased with everything when I'd finished! x

I cant focus with xmas round the corner, My wedding ring arrived and was wrong so had to send it back. I have it now and its perfect

Have a meeting with my wedding coordinator on monday, dress fitting on friday then will have a break and start doing all the final preps in jan

Cant believe its not that far away!!!!

I am getting slightly worried that the wedding is now 11 weeks away how scary, i have my dress fitting monday, have received most of our rsvp now, chosen readings and nearly there with music hopefully that is tomorrows job,

decided on my side tiara, mens suits have been measured and we collected the BM dresses,

finally booked my make up artist just need to decdide what i want and then sort hair out

We've gone past the 10 week mark now, and are into single figures which is completely freaking me out!

We were meant to see the preist on Saturday but I completely forgot about it and remember on Saturday night, which has really annoyed me because I never forget any appointments, and managed to completely forget this one. I have so much going round in my head with Christmas and everything else to think about for the wedding.

Invites went out a couple of weeks ago and are getting RSVP's back in a nice steady stream, but I still haven't finished my evening invites so I must get on that this week and get them sent out!!

I'm a bit worried as we seem to have left getting everything bought to the last minute so still have no bridesmaid or usher gifts, no idea what to get for the parents, still need to sort out things like tealights, favours (making the jam this weekend), guest book. Also starting to try and work out a table plan which is doing my head in!! Can't believe how quickly it is coming round!

Hi, we managed to get BM necklaces yesterday so thats them done, just the usher who is my brother and BM who is my cousin to get but will be nothing huge, in terms of presents though! and not a clue yet

I think we have gone for 2 readings we are having a civil ceremony, going with On Your Wedding Day and Excerpt from the novel Captain Corelli's Mandolin, just need to be certain, its all the music for the ceremony thats driving me loopy, the quartet needs to know by xmas and need to send off to the registrar as well!! oh well.

Table plan we are quite lucky as only small numbers in day so six tables all in all, we just cut everyone's name out and starting moving them around. My aunt has been amazing and has been so giddy with sorting out my flowers for me,

Got my dress fitting today, but still poorly so OH is going to have to drive me to the shop and wait in the car whilst i go in bless him!,

There are so many things still to do, i cant decide how i want my hair or make up, and just loads of other little things like stickers for the sweetie bags and making labels for the sweet buffet as well, all little bits that i just need to get round to organising!

Don't worry it will all come together!

It has a dip to fit in my engagement ring and it wasnt big enough so it didnt fit snug, luckily i sent the ring back with my engagement ring and now its perfect

Went to see my wedding coordinator tofday and asked a massive list of questions and feel so much better and so excited, The allowed me to pick my own dessert of apple crumble which is our fav so im chuffed.

So many little things to thing about now, i really want us to do a few lines of our own vows so need get them done and sent to registrar and also pick a few readings!!

I just had my first dress fitting and it was brilliant , dress doesnt need much altering anf looks amazing with my tiara and veil

having hair and make up trial next week so that should be fun, feel as though i have been ticking off my to do list!
