Mrs L, are they going to do laser surgery?

My very brave H2B has bleeding retinas caused by diabetes and has had laser surgery 3 times on each eye - he says it is bareable, but you may sport a bit of a shiner for a week afterwards. Hopefully, it will either be very very soon or after xmas otherwise you might look like Santa has boshed you!

My GP said it will probably be laser surgery, but wont know for sure until i see specialist on Wednesday.

Not sure i like the sound of having a black eye though, might need to dig the make-up bag out for that.

Yep, defo! Last time H2B had his done I was away with work, I phoned and asked how it went and he said all was ok and nothing to worry about - didnt mention his shiners! They had done both eyes and he looked like he had done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, but at least he can see a little more now that he could (he is partially sighted in both eyes)

Try and focus on the positive (I know this is easy for me to say as I'm not in your position) but

1) At least you know now so you can get treated, eye sight is so important

2) Yes just before Christmas is bad timing but just before your big day would be much worse.
