Feeling down :(

cookiekat, 17 April, 2013 at 13:22 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 17

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today, I know others are worse off but I just feel so down.

I had a car crash last week and I've been in so much pain ever since. I hurt all over, I have limited movement in my neck, right arm and knees are so swollen even walking hurts. I am bruised all over and I just cant stop going over it in my head it's like a movie on repeat.

The insurance company emailed me this morning and my car is being written off and I am gutted I loved my little car.

Sorry for woe is me post, just needed to rant.

Are you maxed up on painkillers?

Just think how exciting it will be to get a new car!

I know you said on my thread about the doctors what you don't really go, but have you been checked out for any lasting damage?

As Footlong said, think about the shiny new car you'll be able to get now!

    Sorry you're suffering

I've been x-rayed and CT scanned, am ok.

I only just got that car in February.

Do you think they will give me back what I paid for it?

Aw sorry to hear that Cookie. I do hope you start to feel better very soon. For all that we humanise our cars, (and I'm the worst for that) they really are just lumps of metal.

    Happy vibes for you >>>>>>>>>>>

I had a car crash about 4 years ago, it wasn't particularly dramatic or painful at the time (I rolled into on it's roof) The day after I have never been in so much pain- every fiber of me ached, so I feel a little of your pain.

I was gutted too about my little Betty, it's awful isn't it? I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear that you're so sore after it all. As AC says, I know it's tough, but at the end of the day at least you're still here. Have a hug ?

In theory, they give you back what it would cost to replace it (similar car, same mileage, same condition). As you only bought in February, you wouldn't have lost too much value on it. But you'll not get back the value you paid.

Hope you will soon be feeling better CK. It can't help with all the house stuff too. Have you the means to treat yourself to a bit of a pamper such as a massage or a pedicure or anything lovely for yourself?

Maybe one of them could do it!

Maybe your OH could be persuaded to either do it for you or lend you some cash?

Ha that sounds like the scene setting for a porno

H is away - back on Friday. Might just put some candles round the bath and have a bubble bath when they are all gone.

Thank you ladies, sorry for moaning

Don't be sorry for moaning, helps to have a good moan.

Sounds like a long soak in the bath might do the trick Smiley smile

It's fine to moan sometimes. It sounds as though you are perfectly justified, so hope the bath helps with the aches and pains and that you get a good rest tonight.

In times like these only 2 things will help. Junk food or alcohol.
