Sorry to hear you're feeling down ?

Is there anything else you can do today that will get you excited about the wedding, or cheer you up a bit?

    Hiya,

Didn't want to R&R... You sound like you've just hit a plateau with your weight - you start off losing really quickly, then it falls off more slowly and then it stops completely unless you alter your diet slightly. I'm on Weight Watchers and the same thing happened to me last time I did it and it sucks.

As for the engagement ring thing - when my OH proposed in February my ring was a size too small - was gutted I couldn't wear it. Like you said - once you get it resized you'll feel happier and it's an excuse for another mini celebration/ candlelit meal!

Keep your chin up flower! x

Gutted about the ring. Was the ***-up on their part?

About the weight thing, I know how you feel....where do you think the "problem" lies? Mine is motivation, which is why I'm looking forwards to the weekly weigh-ins on here (did I miss that yesterday by the way?)

Sorry that you're not feeling very happy ?

    Hi anglefish

Didn't want to R&R, try not to get too down about your weight, I think us girls put a little too much pressure on ourselves to try to lose consistently, its a toughie but keep plugging away at it and you will move past the plateau.

    Chin up honey!

    Hi Anglefish...

I tried hypnotherapy for a few months and unfortunately it didn't work for me - at £80 a session it wasn't cheap either. I would still try Weight Watchers/ Slimming World along with exercise. I've also cut pictures of wedding dresses/ brides out of magazines and stuck them around the kitchen for motivation!

Also my mate was given a tablet by her doc so whenever you eat anything fatty you have a tendency to poo pure fat/ may even leak when you least expect it - sounds proper icky!

Hope it all gets sorted for you flower... Weight issues have been the bane of my existance for years and I've tried every diet going! Weight Watchers is the only one that seems to work for me personally. Trust me - I've tried several where you can only have milkshakes/ cabbage soup - you name it, I've tried it!!

    Hey there,

Thanks to being inspired by Melancholy I joined Slimming World last September and have so far lost over 3 stone. In the past I tried... weight watchers, prescription medication and (v expensive hypnotherapy) none of which worked for me - obviously you need to find what works for you but wanted you to know that it can be done with a slimming group, I feel like I've got control over my weight for the first time in my life (I'm 30 years old and at my biggest I weighed over 15st - just heading off to my weigh in now but last time I was just under 11st)

Hope you find something that cheers you up and I hope Hitched provides you with some inspiration too..

    S xx

Sorry your feeling down but it's not something that can't be sorted ?...you ring will be here before you know it and as for the weight "problem" my parents are both heavy and due to their age I made an appt with their GP and got them on a tablet called Orlistat (Xenical), think this is the one that Spangle is talking about.

It works great but you do have to watch what you are eating or you will be "glued" to the toilet, my parents lost 4 stone between August and December last year but stopped at xmas...the unfortunate thing with those tablets is that it's extra easy to put the weight back on so you really need to be careful as they are now having to "start" all over again ☹️.

Hope you feel better soon ?
