I'm really snobby and secretly really judgmental ?

    - Buses. If I can, I'd rather taxi/wait 'til H can drive me anywhere rather than take the bus around here.

    - Tracksuits.

    - Baseball caps, especially when worn with tracksuits

    - Bad teeth, I mean really bad, not just a bit wonky.

    - Trashy telly - TOWIE, Big Brother etc. I'd much rather watch a documentary or read a book. My only exception is Jezza, which is my guilty pleasure and takes care of my weekly need to judge people with bad teeth wearing tracksuits & baseball caps.

    - Swearing in public.

    - Obviously unwashed hair - chip pan greasy levels. Blargh.

    - Babies in buggies drinking coke/squash/etc from bottles with a Greggs sausage roll in the other hand.

    - Filthy pushchairs

    - Leggings worn as trousers.

    - People in the supermarket whose trollies are filled with processed ready meals & junk food with not a vegetable or piece of fruit in sight.

I'm a bit of an ethical snob too - I won't buy anything Nestlé or Coca Cola, only buy organic eggs & am trying to only buy Organic meat too.

Someone else said this but we've recently changed to Lidl Formil - wouldn't have dreamt of it but we were struggling to get any of our normal tablets and had run out. MIL2B uses it so borrowed a box off her in desparation and you wouldn't know the difference from Ariel - it definitely has it's work cut out in our house with OH's greasey, oily overalls from work. Can't fault it and significantly cheaper than Ariel.

I'm just a bit paranoid about my scabby skin so will only really use fairy!

Don't you think that Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth has a whole, even, worse accent of itself!

I know someone with a PHD in physics with a Lowestoft accent and still fail to take him completely seriously, which is very very very worng, but I really can't

And yes, the thought of my children speaking sauufolk makes me cringe (but then again OH cringes at the thought of our children speaking with my very nice (imo) slight, Northern accent. XX

I live in Norwich and hate the accent too!! My parents are from Oxford so I don't have a Norfolk accent. In my line of work I am surrounded by people from all over rather than locals do don't tend to hear it there either.

Actually it tends to be those from the 'undesirable' areas that have the worst accents, common AND Norfolk twangs.

I agree with so many of these!! I have to admit I don't understand the pint glass thing, though, why can't women drink from them?

    Anyways, I'm most snobby about:

Writing - if I'm going to read something, it had better be well written, whether it's a story book or literature.

Speaking properly - people who use adjectives in place of adverbs especially annoy me. Also, innit.

Text speak in anything other than a text message, and even there, I don't like it. People who use it on facebook annoy the hell out of me.

Coffee - just got a nespresso machine and am in HEAVEN

Splitting the bill at the end of a meal - I don't care if your meal cost £2 less than someone else's, I cannot stand when people sit there and calculate out what exactly they owe, as they inevitably don't factor in tax/tip and come across as extremely cheap. If the bill is split, split it evenly between everyone. Or, if everyone is going to be drinking heavily and you aren't, maybe just order separately if it really means that much to you.

Bad parenting - this in more of an umbrella term, which incorporates smoking in front of children, being a bad role model (i.e. living off the state and not getting off your ass to get a job), and blaming teachers when they realise they've raised a disrespectful amoral teen.

I'm sure there are more, and really, I'm not sure these make me snobby.. except maybe the coffee one Smiley smile

I LIVE in leggings, but always with long tops as I have a big fat belly and I bin them when they go see through ?

I am a wedding dress snob, my mum was telling me the cancer shop has a load in and I was like 'eeek, no I couldn't buy a charity shop wedding dress' I admit its pure snobbery, the dresses were in fact brand new from a wedding dress shop that closed down and were only £100. Uncalled for snobbery probably.

I am actively inversely snobby about popular culture - I can't bear people who insist on disenfranchising the people even further by having discussions based around how LITTLE they know about 'Big Brother'. I am extremely childish in these situations and immediately focus on Jodie Marsh as if there is no more interesting topic on earth.

In what is an absolute contradiction of the above, I am incredibly snobby about books. Someone's bookshelf absolutely informs my opinion on them.

    Ok I'm snobby about-

Agree Council houses/flats/tower blocks- too much concrete most look so repressive.

Supermarket value ranges- I cant bring myself to be seen with them in my trolley/basket

Holidays in Europe- the likes of the Algarve, Benidorm etc

London Buses - The feeding time at the zoo frenzy that happens when a bus pulls in. Why can't the fu**ers just queue like civilized people!!!

    Primarni -enough said

Chain restaurants -Trying to be cool/posh but failing miserably Zizzis, Strada, Cafe Rouge etc

Fake clothes/handbags- its not fooling me!

Oh god, far too many things! OH always calls me a snob!!

Leggings is a big one for me...I wear them, but you've got to cover your bum! I cannot stand people wearing them as trousers. People wearing inappropriate clothes, popular books....I refused to read The Da Vinci Code and the Harry Potter books for ages. Still refusing Fifty Shades.

Parents who blame their children's behaviour on anything but themselves. Bad parenting, parents that swear and smoke in front of their children. Parents that feed their children fast food all the time, parents that over feed their children, parents that dunk their babies dummies in fizzy drinks.

Babies with ears pierced, young boys with earrings or those shaved patterns in their hair.

Processed food, bad 'restaurants' that serve reheated mush and claim it's food.

    Text language...especially from adults. Grammar, bought/brought there/their...

TOWIE and TOWIE wannabes. Reality TV

Christ, I could go on all night. ?

I wouldnt class myself as a snob at all. (I was brought up in council house and have bought an ex council house, not pretty from the outside but huge on the inside compared to others we looked at and will look much better after we can afford to spend money on it after the wedding)

Anyway back to my snobbery list

Hate Hate Hate people smoking when pregnant and over babies buggies etc. Infact I hate smoking!

Pregnant woman with their bellies and stretchmarks out for all to see (We dont want to see, buy a longer tshirt)

    Overwight people in leggings

Nappies - Had to be pampers

kids that are about 4 still in buggies with dummies in their mouth - pure laziness from the parent.

That makes me sound quite bad but I'm not really. Each to their own and all that. Im sure there is more... agree with a lot of other comments too.

Please read this in my Ipswich accent Smiley winking

    My snobby things...

    Branded Tampons

Mispronunciation of the word ASK. Arksk?

Merging words. eg. Scaanere - Let's go in here. Scaanon? - What's going on?

Regular Facebook countdowns. We all look forward to holidays, weddings, parties etc. but daily 15/14/13/12 etc days to go ones. In sleeps?

Petrol/Diesel lights being on. If it's on, buy some more or walk. Don't chance it. It makes me nervous.

Hems that have fallen down. One day is acceptable as it might have just happened. Wearing the same garment again with the hem down is lazy.

Your/You're - Is it THAT hard?

I'm not that snobby. We bought a nice house and are surviving on my minimum wage and OHs slightly better one so if I need to buy the value range out of a supermarket or clothes from Primark I will, and I don't really mind doing it. The things I am snobby/bother me:

People having loans that don't need them. If they are actually for something eg mortgage, uni, new car if the other one died and you really need one etc. but I know some people who have massive loans/credit cards because they like shopping. The one in particular earns really good money compared to me and doesn't save, "mummy and daddy" pay her bills and she still manages to blow through her wages and more! Unless its important ie bills/food you really don't need it. Yes I'm jealous of all your holidays but no I don't want £10k worth of debt. I will only get/use a credit card in an emergency.

Bad language/children acting like adults/bad manners. I have often been told I belong in 1950 the way I act but I hate when I hear people swearing in public or in front of children. Also can anyone not hold doors open for people? Or let them go first? This really annoys me. Also spitting burping or farting in public

I love kids and there's loads in our family but it drives me mental when the parents aren't bothered where there kids are/what they are doing especially near a road.

    Children in makeup. Just no.

Jewellery on children to young to decide if they want it.

Thats it I think!! Not a food/drink snob but my brother is, the words "if it's not from my nespresso coffee machine it's not coffee" come out of his mouth frequently and he's only 18!!

I think someone else mentioned this, but over-familiarity is my major one.

Listen, shop assistant, I am not your mate, your "love", your "duck", your "flower" or your "hun"..... so please, dont call me it!

We also have someone at work who will rush in and envelop you in a hug if you so much as look less than 150% overjoyed... "oooooo, look at you, you need a hug".... whoah! Get off me!!!!

And, my OH is slowly learning the other one - fornicating in public is a no-go... no kisses in supermarkets, pubs, shops, anywhere. Hand-holding, yes, but the rest of the world do not need to see us slobbering, and I dont really want to see anyone else slobbering.

I am snobby about incorrect spelling, or incorrect language use.

Just another thing that annoys me is all those who are saying I "can't" drink instant coffee, you can, you just choose not to. Its different. I can't eat pineapple because it makes my lips swell up and I am allergic to it. I choose not to eat mushrooms because I don't like them, but I can eat them. I get annoyed by people who say "oh I can't eat it/drink it" or "I have allergies" when they just don't like stuff.

My snobbery is cat food. It's Royal Canin always for my two. It gave my now late and at the time very elderly cat two more years of life on their renal food. The vet's prognosis without the food was around six months.

Hate that new accent - Whatevuhh - where has that come from? Say the uhh bit as though you were saying up without the P and dragging it out.

Bad writing as in badly written books and wrong spellings.

I agree with most of these listed already.

    I'm snobby about:

People who mispronounce things - sicth instead of sixth, kort-ter intead of quarter, munff intead of month etc.

    Babies with peirced ears

People who speak with another accent to appear trendy (like posh people who talk mockney)

    Text speak
