Feeling slightly wobbly

Lou0408, 12 March, 2010 at 15:43 Posted on Planning 0 7

I leave on Thursday for our wedding in Mexico on the 25th of March. I have been totally cool about it all but all of a sudden today I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Its not doubts cos I cant wait to be Mrs L and cant wait to get to Mexico. I was out at lunch and I just cant stop shaking. Help. What's wrong with me!!!

I think I am probably just a bit stressed and anxious.

Did any of the other old marrieds feel like this just before?

    Not an OM but....

I think it's completely normal - I get a bit like that just before ordinary holidays, so imagine it's amplified for weddings!

I would accept it BUT realise you have everything in train that you can and that you'll be fine once you get there.

I'm sure once you're actually over there you'll be feeling lots better.

Lots of baths and silly tv before then to keep you relaxed!

Thanks i think i just needed to tell someone and for them to tell me it is normally to feel like this. Think as well cos it just hit me suddenly. Its not like i have been building up to feeling like this. I thought i was pretty calm but clearly not.

Ooo I cant imagine how your feeling, but I think it might be completely normal.

    Firstly - have a hug! ?

I think maybe a night with H2B and a nice drink to de-stress you might be the answer!

Ooh drink, yes moya - why did I not think of this! Nice glass of chilled white and a hot bath is what Dr BSB prescribes. And remembering that you're going to be absolutely fine and look amazing!

I remember that feeling well from when I got married, so I think it is normal. You have spent so long waiting and planning for the day to come and then when it is so close it hits you and I think every emotion under the sun.

You will probably find that once you get to Mexico you will be fine.

Good Luck and enjoy your day.

I was sooo calm until the wedding car come to collect me and I was shaking like a leaf. Seriously my dad and H were worried I was going to pass out because I was so white and looked like I was about to face my death!

Nerves affect us all in different ways and I just managed to keep them at bay for longer than expected but if I was getting married abroad I think I would have been much more nervous for some reason.

I don't really have any advice apart from reassure yourself you have anything packed, all your lists are done if necessary and try to have a couple of days rest before you leave on Thursday.

    You'll be fine xx
