Feeling unsettled

Mrs JMP, 18 August, 2009 at 09:49 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

Do you ever start to sense change?

Over the last few days I feel very unsettled, my Dad is very much on my mind (he died 3 years ago) & in an odd way I feel he is nearby. Yesterday I was with my Nana (96) & for the first time ever, when I kissed her goodbye, I got choked as I said the words goodbye Nana. She squeezed my hand & said I love you. I felt like I was saying goodbye to her forever.

Can physical changes in your life/home alter the emotional side.

I feel something is brewing IYKWIM, can't point to what though.

I'm not a big believer in premonitions or things like that, I think our minds pick up on things that our conscious thoughts can't or won't process. It could be that because your dad has been on your mind then you are expecting the worst about your nana, which given her advanced years is understandable. Subconsciously you could be preparing yourself for another loss and that always makes any bereavement feelings resurface. I hope your Nana is OK and although it's easier said than done, try not to dwell on it.

My mum gets feelings like this, I too am not a big believer in premonitions as MJ says it could just be the subconscious but I don't rule out what you are feeling given the circumstances.

However I do get the feeling that someone special who has passed is sometimes nearby, whether it is mumbo jumbo or whatever I find it a comfort and draw from that.

    I hope you're ok x

Every now and then I get feelings of complete and utter dread, and am completely convinced that something terrible has happened, and it's only a matter of time until I get a phone call. Every time this has happened absolutely *nothing* dreadful has happened ?
