Fete style wedding stationery?

DanniB, 21 June, 2009 at 20:57 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had seen any fete style wedding invites? or any Stationers that have ideas?

We have just brought our wedding date forward from October to July, and changed our venue to a much more relaxed country pub, so am loving the idea of a country fete. But I am absolutely useless at searching for things on the internet!!

Help if you can please!!!

Were you going to buy pre-made, or make your own?

At the moment, I'm not too sure?

I think if I can find something I really like that won't break the bank then it may be easier to get them already made? I have had a look at a few wedding stationer websites, but can;t find anything that jumps out at me.

I am thinking along the lines of something quirky, maybe with a vintage angle? Too many ideas floating round in my head at the min!

What kind of colours are you looking for. I may be able able to help. I will quite happily come up with some ideas for you, which may give you an idea of the sort of thing you may like. There is vintage, or perhaps an invite in the form of a Fete poster.

Thank you for the recommendation Cheska and OLL

I can think lots of ideas you could have - ranging from a purely typographic design with some gorgeous decorative vintage woodcut style fonts and vibrant colours to a more chintzy retro 50's style perhaps with clashing prints like polka dots, stripes and florals - bunting style. You could even have them designed like bunting - folding out as triangles of prints!!Or designed like vintage tickets?

Wow that does sound perfect! Suzanne, I will email you in a minute!

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Just another little question, do you send Save the Date's out to guests that are going to be invited to the full day, or everyone?[

Phoenix trading do some fabby wedding invitations (you'd have to find someone local to you who's a seller or order a catalogue - i think)

    http://www.phoenix-trading.co.uk/web/corp/products/search.do?searchWords=wedding&searchEntityType=SEARCH_ITEM

There are definitely some which have a country/fete-y wedding feel
