FG dress?

dlees81, 3 January, 2012 at 21:43 Posted on Planning 0 5

Can I ask what you peeps think of this as a possible for my 5 year old at our relaxed RO wedding? I love the material, shape, subtle colour, flowers and the price, but think maybe the random flowers on the skirt would make her look more like a guest than a FG/BM IYKWIM:

FWIW we don't have a 'colour' but want to use fresh but subtle spring colours for the ceremony and brighter coloured flowers to decorate our garden-themed reception.

So what do you think of the dress?

I don't think she would look like a guest in this, its cute and a good price!

love the waist band and flower but not sure if the flowers on the dress are a tad drab? (sorry if that was a bit harsh) maybe go and see it in real life, it may look different?

have you thought about monsoon? they have some lovely dresses for little girls and with the sale on at the moment you might grab a bargain? full price i think monsoon ones are about 20 quid more than this one ... they would look fab with a 'garden-themed reception'

I think your right about maybe looking like a guest. try looking for something with a skirt thats a little fuller but get her to try it on and sit down in it and make sure it doesnt itch. most dresses in debenhams, monsoon, next etc are comfortable

Hi, I saw this dress on Monday at my local BHS store and the photo doesn't do it justice, it's so lovely in the 'flesh 'as it were. The colour on is it lovely and the flowers stand out a lot more and it's fuller than it looks, they also had a couple of other dresses there in the same sort of colours which were lovely aswell.

If you can to go and have a look as I'd think that you would be pleasantly surprised Smiley smile

I think it's lovely, and very appropriate for a relaxed garden wedding. I think her walking down the isle with you will set her out from the guests and you could buy a under skirt if you want to make it a little bigger. I've been browsing FG dresses too and I really like all the BHS ones especially as they seem great value.

I noticed this dress last year, and it really is prettier in the flesh

I didn't go for it as my SIL2B didn't really think the spaghetti straps were suitable for the little ones, as it left their top a bit bare IYKWIM?

That looks beautiful! I think it's very much a FG dress IMO!
