Finally Chosen 1st dance !!

Well with 6 days to the wedding we have finally chosen our 1st dance - we had a really limited choice as we wanted our band to play it as it seemed silly that we should pay so much for a band and then not sue them !!

I am slightly unsure tho still but we really dont have any tike left !!

its really cheese - so tell me what you think - I love it but not sure what other people will think !! ?

time of my life - from dirty dancing !.

Its a great song....but i've never used it for a first dance before. Its a popular choice for the last dance because it says 'I've HAD the time of my life'.

What often happens when folks have a band is that they get the DJ to do the first dance, then the band take over imediately and go into their first set. Using the DJ you get a choice and are not limited. The other thing to consider is that it won't be the original, it will be the band's interpretation of that song. Hope that helps a little.

Great song choice, and as Sandysounds says we're having it as our last dance, but go for it, it's a fab tune!

Thanks girls !! its one of the parts my O/H has been mostly organising !! bless him - he feels really strongly that the band should play it so ive just gone with it really !!

funnily enough we had chosen our 'last' song of the party a few months ago !! ha ha wrong way round

We also didnt want to get the 'tumbleweed' feeling of a slow dance - me and h2b can dance quite well but its always to quick stuff !!

think with this song we have a short bit at the start which is slow then we can boogie and invite all guests to join us !! get the party started on the right foot as it were !! ha ha

im sure it will be fine ?
