Find me some boots!

happycamper, 31 August, 2011 at 21:47 Posted on Planning 0 12

As I think I have mentioned on here before, I have a dodgy knee (no I am not 83! ?) and cannot wear heels.

I am probably going to wear some ballet type shoes for the ceremony, have found a few online that might be ok but not found any I like that fit yet. But I would like something a little more substantial to change into later. I can only find really ridiculously expensive boots, or really cheap tacky fluffy slipper type things. Can anyone out there find me some ivory ankle boots with no heel that I could secretly change into to dance (as without ankle support my knee will give way!).

Over to you...

Thanks Gabs, those aren't a pair I've seen before on my many searches. It is a tough one indeed, I've only danced at about 3 events since my knee operation and I know I'll hardly be able to walk the next day, but its my wedding, I WANT to dance, and if I have to wear these to achieve it....

Following on from abigiggle1's suggestion of Doc Martens... if you're interested and want some inspiration, the front page of my website (which I'm just setting up at the moment, so it's 'in progress') has a photo of silver wedding DMs. It's at http://www.docuphoto.co.uk

    Good luck!

Would a pair of converse high tops offer enough support?

Hi Gabs, for dancing sadly not. For normal walking around they would be fine (hence why I can get away with flat sparkly shoes during the day) but for running or dancing or anything like that I will need more.
