Finger nails......*tip*

miss.understood, 15 November, 2010 at 09:10 Posted on Planning 0 9

I've bitten my nails for, well....all my life so it seems. I've been growing them already for the wedding which is in May, but i want them to look nice. The problem i had was that when they did grow they'd be soft or bendy or peel.

I spotted in ASDA some of their own make Skin, Hair and nails tablets ( think they're £3 for 30 tablets). I've been on these for a bit now and my god have my nails seriously toughened up! deffo a big difference with them, plus they're whiter at the ends too.... usually my nails would grow in and go see through,...not this time. I think i have it sussed.

I'm sure that the likes of Tesco etc will do their own version, products are usually the same in different packaging. But i'd deffo recommend them Smiley smile

Oo sounds good. I take the Holland and Barrett ones but haven't noticed much of a difference, my nails still split really easily. I didn't want to resort to fake nails for the wedding as I can't work in them so will give this a go.

    xx

They def do them in Tescos-I have just taken my daily dose ? They have exactly the same composition as the Perfectil branded ones and are loads cheaper.

I'm a May bride too, and speok to my pharmacist about thsi last week. He advised to take Cod Liver Oil capsules with added Calcium. He said these will help my nails grow strong, keep my teeth and bones healthy and apparently speed up healthy hair growth ?

Well my only daily meds that i take are:

    2 tablets for IBS (grrrrrr)

1 x folic acid (trying for a baby)

1 x evening primrose oil (good for general woman things and the skin)

1 x asda hair skin and nails tablet

It's taken me so long to stop biting my nails, but i was hell bent on having them look nice for the wedding.

I also use the Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails polish, that seems very good and the sally hansen range has a good reputation. They also do a maximum growth polish which has lots of nutrients in. I'm currently looking for a good oil treatment to condition my nails. My friend had one a while ago, i'm sure it was called Solar Oil or something...very good stuff, kept the cuticles nice and supple so they were easy to remove.

Speaking of which, since i'm uber stressed today after my friend treating me like c***.....i might chill out and give myself a manicure tonight Smiley smile xxx

Oh it's not just a bad day lol....it's been a bad 2 months with these particular ex friends. But one of them turned up at the door today and promptly got the door shut in his face. I can't stand people who try and sweep things under the carpet when things are far from fine.

So i'm currently supping coffee made by the OH Smiley smile and debating going for a nice soak in the bath with some music Smiley smile xx

Well I'm more than sure that you are better off without them at the moment, you don't need more bother with tomorrow being your priority.

Hope your OH is rubbing your feet and shoulders, and making you feel like a princess!

    xx
