    It's an extra £200. £100 for band & £100 for room.

I'd jump at the chance to have a later finish time if I could. As a compromise, we've made sure the residents bar in our hotel will keep open for us. Like you, we also have a lot coming from Ireland so we want to give them a good party.

Or maybe the band could finish at 1am and you just have the room for an extra hour? Like a long drinking up time.

We had our room until 2am and it was a very long day for some as the ceremony was 12:30am. Having said that, we had the best time ever with the few people who stayed right until the end. The staff asked us to leave in the end, I think we would have kept on going all through the night otherwise.

I'll be honest, the day takes a lot out of you and you might find you don't use it. i was shattered by 10.30 :/

if someone had told me the party was going on til 2, i'd have cried! lol

but i'm very elderly, so you'll likely cope much better. but physically and emotionally, the day WILL drain you regardless. you can only run on adrenaline for so long!

Hello, most weddings we've done finish around 12-12.30 latest but that's usually dictated by the venue and licenses they have, although sometimes it's clear the party is far from over. We've even done after show acoustic stuff in the bar/foyer a few times, it's very cool and rather decadent!

if you can gauge what your guests will want/need to do then that's the best option, better to have it and your band/DJ prepped than not in my opinion

    good luck!

When we initially started planning, we thought we wanted a later finish to make the most of the day, but having stayed late into the evening at weddings we've shot before, lots of couples look ready to drop by 11pm. If you're up at 6am ready for hair and make up for example, by 10pm it's already been a 16 hour day.

Personally, for an additional £200 i'd save the money and call it time at 1am.

I agree with what's been said about the day being exhausting! I think midnight is a perfect time to end. You want it all to finish while everyone is still having fun and not getting bored x
