First Dance

We had can't take my eyes off of you by Andy williams. All my other suggestions were vetoed by OH - they included anything by Take That, Westlife or any boy band for that matter.

We can't decide either. We don't have a song and OH hates my taste in music! Although he did say today that Sade's by your side reminds him of me (probably because I have it on in the car all the time!) so that could be a goer!

We're looking at getting a swing singer at the wedding so if we do it could be The Way You Look Tonight which I adore.

I think one of the DJ's on here had a list of the top 100 first dance songs, could have been Sandy. That might be of some use to you.

AMazed is a gorgeous song although I prefer the DJ Sammy acoustic version.

Was listening to Shania Twain's From this Moment on youtube and had a tear in my eye but my friend might be having this one so don't think I can have the same ☹️

I've just come back from my niece's wedding and her first dance involved everyone sitting down on the floor to Ooops Upside Your Head!!!

Lonestar was the final dance.

But I have to say I currently love the Stereophonics version of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face as a more traditional first dance song.

We haven't officially decided yet but I think we'll be going for Endless Love, Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross. We both love this song. If we don't go for this I think a David Gray song as OH had his CD playing when he proposed.

We are having Shania Twain your stil the one as we have been engaged for 10 years we thought it was quite appropriate ? But also liked Take That Greatest Day .

Don't laugh.... ? but H2B gave me no choice in this matter. We're having Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Partons - Islands in the Stream. He said that he was happy for me to do all the arrangements for the wedding but in that department it's his choice. I figured it was only fair... ?

I had Glen Miller and Moonlight Serenade as The Glen Miller story is one of my all time favourite films and I love the 40's and thought it was a little bit different to most.

Funnily enuff vicki we're having glen millar at our wedding tooo!

Our first dance is Casablancas 'anthem' though.. As Time Goes By.....

we really must practice dancing that one but OH doesnt think the lounge is big enuff. Hes a bit of a waltzer/spinner dancer...lol

Were not having a first dance....so cant really help with this one.

If H2B hadnt mucked things up over this we'd have had Nickleback Never Gona Be alone! Oh well!

We have a while to decide yet but we've obviously talked about ideas and at the moment we both sort of agree on an option of 2: Have I Told You Lately (but the Van Morrison version rather than the Rod Stewart one) and If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys.

I really like the idea of Sinatra's Let's Face the Music as I think it's a little bit 'off centre' for a first dance, which suits us perfectly. If that idea gets vetoed then I want Somewhere beyond the Sea.

We're getting married abroad so only having a party later when we get back, but I was hoping to have a sort of 40's/swing/rat pack so of feel to it and, luckily, these fit perfectly

We're having Finally Found by the Honeyz. Ever since we first got together we always said this would be our first dance so didn't even have to think about it.

We had Justin Timberlake, "Until the End of Time", lovely words, not particularly traditional but meaningful all the same.

We are having this. It's been 'our song' for 5 years now. It's just as well we have this because I'd never be able to choose one from loads that I think would be good.
