First dance and dad dance ideas

That sounds like a great idea and I love that song.

We have a wedding website and have asked our guests to nominate a favourite song to be played. I asked my Dad if he had one and he wanted 'Eric Clapton - Wonderful tonight'. It's one of his favourites so that'll be our Dad dance which I'm quite looking forward too. X

As far as a first dance goes you can do anything you want. OH and I are having Somewhere by Within Temptation which hardly anybody has heard of and then for my dad dance I'm having Ballerina Girl by Lionel Ritchie

I'm planning to have Ozzy & Kelly Osbourne Changes as my daddy dance it's always been mine and my dads song and Aerosmith don't want to miss a thing for our 1st dance. They both mean something to us so even if there not quite right for other guests its 2 songs out of loads played.

We're having Chaka Khan Ain't Nobody for our first dance. I'd wanted to do a Father/Daughter dance but he really didn't like the idea. So after our first dance, all the men in the wedding party will take to the dancefloor for Zorba The Greek (there's an actual dance for it and OH is Greek Cypriot so not just faddy). Dad dance will be Heartland, i loved her first – not sure if that’s a bit upsetting though, i cried when i first heard it after getting engaged and well up each time i listen to it.

My Girl is a really good idea - love it!

I Won't Give Up is perfect for a first dance - really popular at the moment, I'm singing it quite often ?

First dance choice is lovely - definitely go with that one.

I love Faith Hill so I would be biased towards that one but, if the lyrics are more appropriate on the seond one, then you should go with that. Either way, they are all very nice songs!

I love the Jason Mraz song, its beautiful!

Im also having My Girl as my dad/daughter dance. There is a perfect sone called 'butterfly kisses' which i love for the dad/daughter dance but I turn into a blubbering wreck when I listen to it. Not a good look on the wedding day!!
