I cant decide arghhhhhhh

We couldn't decide for ages as our music taste is quite dissimilar and we don't have a song that is "our" song or anything like that.

One day he came home and said, "Shall we have 'Stand By Me' by Ben E King?" and I just thought, yes! It's a classic song, won't date, and is really lovely.

Took us ages..! 18 months engaged and only decided with a month to go

Ours is Ben E King Stand By Me, the 1st song we had a dance and a cheeky snog to! But depending on if we have our small wedding and no reception party, may not be having a 1st dance

Its looking likely to be Youve got the love, but the original Candi Statton one

We are having Jennifer Hudson - Giving Myself as we love the lyrics but then after the song we will be asking everyone to join us on the dancefloor for Cant take my eyes off of you that song has a long history with us and is sure to make a few people laugh!

If we cant decide im going to make him dance to Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit) and jump around with glow sticks in the dark! hehe (for anyone who isnt familiar with the song Youtube it!)

I actually have no idea about this - my best friend and BM will be singing it, just don't know what she will be singing!!?

Jade12345 - Hehe, My mum actually said it was the perfect first dance song for me and my OH because we are very hyperactive and it would fool a lot of the oldies thinking it was the dirty dancing theme song, but just a bit more updated lol!

We have a few options -

'It had to be You' by Harry Connick as it was the first song we danced to (though slightly drunk at the time!)

'Someone Like You' Van Morrison - beeeeeeautiful song and sums up us completely

Or something by Peter Gabriel as we both love him, but can't decide what song!!

Don't know at the moment as this is one thing that OH and I can't agree on! He would rather have some trance tune where I'd prefer something like Fly Me to the Moon by Sinatra. We may end up compromising on Rule the World - Take That as this is one of the few songs we both like, but as I've picked most of the ceremony music I feel like I ought to give him free reign with the first dance choice!

We're not having a 'first dance' becasue we're not having dancing! The 'dancefloor' at the venue is full with 2 people on it, so we'll just have an Ipod plugged into the sound system on an endless loop of all our favourite songs as background sound. Actually I think we'll create a playlist designed to make all the old fogies want to go home, and crank it up to 11.

If we were having a first dance it would probably be Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.

We are having Im Yours by The Script, we cry to this song everytime we hear it, Been our song since we first met 2 years ago on 27th Jan!! Hehe

We were going for something comical like the Hustle but I dont think this will happen, probably wont bother doing one. We're not that traditional to feel the need to do one just as its expected of us.

We might have She's like the wind by Patrick Swayze (bless his soul) its a song that means alot to me and my h2b, he always plays it for me, so i think thats the perfect song to dance too. corny i know lol?
