Fitting young ones?

mrs2bsoon, 25 March, 2011 at 10:11 Posted on Planning 0 6

For those of us having little people (flower girls and pageboys) how far in advance are you having them measured for the outfits. I'm dying to get my hands on the girls dresses as they are sooo cute but really should hold off as my wedding is in November!!!!!! They could grow but don't want to leave it to the last minute!

Yes that sounds ok! My H2B and son will be going suit shopping at the weekend. The girls dresses I have seen online so need to size them myself. Maybe September as they can't grow much in two months, can they? Mmmm it is tricky!

I bought my 3 flowergirls dresses last summer in the sales as they were reduced to £19 pounds each. I just got them a size bigger than they were wearing then, which were as expected to big!! I will try them on a month before the wedding again and get any alterations done as needed even if I do have to get them altered they were still cheaper than waiting and paying full price. So if u see any bargain I would get them now in a size bigger. My son will get measured for his tails at the end of june for a middle of august wedding!!! xx

We get married 2nd weekend of August - I got my FG dresses the other day and they will be fitted 2nd weekend of June (which I still think is very early!!).

My Pageboy will be fitted for his suit 4 weeks before.

    Hi

We are getting Married on 23rd April, i brought my flower girl dress at the start of March, as she would not grow that much in 8 weeks and her mum is trying on every fornight to make sure it will be okay. So far all is well.

My two year old twins are being fitted for there suits on 10th April, as the shop only needs a week to order them in, and then re-fitted and adjusted (shop will adjsut them whilst we wait) on the 19th ready for the 23rd

    HTH

Right well I think I'll do that then. I'll buy the two girls a size up and then keep checking to see if it fits. DS isn't a problem as we will hire his tails along with h2b. Thanks ladies

Yes they can - my son managed 2 inches in height over the summer holidays last year!

I'd say 2 months/6 weeks should be good. I'll be having BMs measured at the beginning of September for a late October wedding.
