Flags.....

Emma158, 3 October, 2013 at 13:49 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi All,

We wanted to have something instead of confetti so were planning on giving all guests a flag to wave for a photo! We bought these (but in shades of pink):-

However, we have just found out today that they were supposedly delivered on 21st September and Royal mail are saying they don't know what happened to them as their records say they were delivered.....

Anyway....we basically have very little time now as we get married on Friday 11th and we aren't holding out much hope of these flags turning up any time soon so does anybody know anywhere we could get something similar? These ones were from etsy and I would re-order them but at almost £80 for the amount we want (plus she said it'd be an extra $100 for delivery at such short notice) it's a bit expensive at this late stage.

gggrrrr all the little things are stressing me out at the moment!

Thanks guys

Emma

I don't know an actual supplier but have you considered going to a printers and getting them to quickly design something and print off for you? You could then go to a craft shop and get the sticks and glue and put them together yourself.

It's not your fault they haven't been delivered so I would advise the seller to claim via Royal Mail and issue a refund. I would then do what Pugsley suggested.

I don't know how crafty you are, but these could be made really simply, using lollipop/wooden kebab sticks, some pretty coloured card and a marker pen. You could go over Hobbycraft and buy a huge sheet of card for less than £3 and just cut it up to size, it really wouldn't take long and they could probably help you out in the shop (I used to work there!) if you explain what happened. It would also allow you to write whatever you wanted.

I really wouldn't re-order (or have you already?) until you sort out what happened to the original order. This can be done after the wedding, no need to stress over it now.

B and Q = 2 lengths of 6mm x 2.4m dowel. few sheets of A3 pastel paper cut in half length ways, and 1 chisel point felt tip pen total cost under £15 + some glue and 1/2 hours work thats what I see

EDIT--- whilst writing monkeys posted too

    Thanks for the messages guys!

I was being a bit silly when I mentioned re-ordering, I just really wanted those flags!

However, after browsing on the hobbycraft website, I think I can create something :-) Starting to think I maybe should have chosen to do it that way in the first place.
