This was ours; custom topper from the US via Etsy, bottom layer was fruit, then vanilla and choc marble maderia for top two tiers
A friend of my mum's made it, so we only paid for materials - amazingly ALL the detail, barring the topper is made from sugar

    Woman is a genius!

I'm meeting my cake lady a month today, but have suggested something like this, maybe with slightly whiter icing and a bit of pearls/lace detailing. Haven't decided about a topper yet.

She makes some amazing novelty cakes so I'm getting a mini giraffe cake as a thank you for my BIL who is going to play all the music on the day(he loves giraffes!) and cupcake bouquets for the mums & my bridesmaid instead of real flowers!

We're having cupcakes which will be dessert along with strawberries and cream. Then a cheese 'cake' later in the evening with port

This is the inspiration for the cupcakes. My friend is making them but have no idea of price yet - she's costing as we speak!

Went to our meeting earlier and was there for an hour and a half - she quoted us £500 for our cake!! And that's only 2 tiers the other 2 tiers are dummy ones! If we didn't go for the wonky style and had straight up and down it would of been £130 cheaper. We've also scrapped fruit and gone for the bottom tier in choc dream flavour (choc with cream cheese buttercream) and the next tier up is vanilla :] so now I'm £50 lighter in pocket .... Well £250 as we paid the deposit for our photographer today aswell.

This was ours, cost £260 delivered and set up with an extra cutting layer to add due to increased numbers. It tasted amazing! We had strawberry, lemon and poppyseed, chocolate and orange and passion fruit flavour layers. This was from Emma Cakes in ripley derbyshire, she also does normal lovely wedding cakes too.
