Flash me your rustic style invitations

rusticbride90, 2 April, 2016 at 09:41 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hi everyone..

Looking for some inspiration for invitations. We are (hopefully) getting married in a renovated barn and going for a rustic theme. I am hoping to make my own invitations, not to save money as I know I will probably end up spending more, but just because I am quite crafty and want to do as much diy stuff as I can. If anyone has made their own rustif style invitations I would love to see them. I'm pretty confident (not being bigheaded) they will look ok as I have made invitations etc for a few friends in the past and they always turned out well but I've never printed onto the kraft type paper before so a bit wary.

Thanks

We've gone for these as we thought they were fun and playful, they reminded us of childrens party invitations which we just loved! And they weren't expensive either - bonus!

Are you on Pinterest? Doing a search on there might be a good idea... There are sooooo many! (Beware though; so many options is not always a good thing and Pinterest can get addictive!)

Hahaha ohhhh yes my pinterest is full to the brim with wedding stuff! All organised into individual folders 'invitations' 'cakes' 'table plans' lol. Ive looked at that many they all seem to blur into one! I love the sets that you can get where there is a bundle of individual pages all held together with string or lace. But again i cant decide betwee about 10 different styles lol. Im hoping someone will have made their own and can post some pics so i can see what the end result.of homemade ones will be as they are very pricey!

Hey, we have designed ours ourselves, and getting them printed on to card. For the invitations, going to follow the theme through (probably with the wreath at the top with our initials) and having several cards with invitation, rsvp, information for venue and anything else we need to include, then tying it together with rustic twine!

I love these!! I'm also designing my own invites and planning to get them printed. Can I ask you where you got the wreath design from? And which software have you used? Smiley smile x

Thanks, I'm so happy with them! OH still wants to 'tweak' them! We're going to get them printed with printed.com I think, and if they do well, use them for the invitations too. We've made them using illustrator - printed.com has templates to download for the sizing. We've used Vecteezy for all the images, and just googled rustic fonts to find all the fonts. I'm amazed at how much is out there for free download!
