Haven't gotten it yet, but seriously considering this one! Question is: should I wear it down the aisle?

I really like that but I get married in august. I am struggling with what will look nice with my dress but is suitable for summer. Although, it is England could be freezing Smiley smile

I know what you mean about summer! We are getting married in July but in Scotland. I've seen other brides pull it off, but they are so much more chic than me that they could've worn a burlap bag and it would've been ok! I really love shrugs and winter-y bits -- makes me wish we would've chosen a winter date, though July was the only date that worked within our timeframe.

The other type of shrug I've seen brides wear in the summer are those made of bigger feathers, so that it looks more "airy." (Maybe ostrich feathers???) May try looking for one of those.

If I had my turn to plan again I would have gone for a winter wedding. I am in the middle of tattoo removal so they are very faded but still noticable. I can cover them on a night out fairly well. but not perfect. I wanted a MUA on the day who would do my makeup and cover them but everyone is booked up. I am now worrying so decided a shrug is the only option.

    What's your dress like?

I really like some of the feather shrugs but they can look a bit "bulky" with some dresses and don't always sit properly with a veil. Would lace be an option if you want something lighter?

I'm having a lace cover up made to look something like this

    close up detail

Its quite awkward to match up. I love the lace ones but there isn't any lace on my dress.

What about chiffon to match the skirt? There's no lace on my dress, but it is satin all over so shouldn't look too out of place.

    Melly1985: it's from Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/69555068/bridal-wrap-luxury-marabou-feather

Though I've found similar, less expensive ones on Etsy, so might be considering another.

They are both lovely Cricks but I dont think either would go with my dress. I might change my wedding to a winter one just so I can wear a fluffy one. I love them!

Just spoke to the bridal shop and she said the seamstress can make me one to match if I dont get tattoos sorted out.

I think this one might match the chiffon skirt really well, but not detract from the detail at the top of your dress.

    Hi SB

I bought it from a wedding shop local to me in Pontypool, South Wales. I can find out the name/design of it if you wish?

Okey dokey SB. Leave it with me. It might take a few days as I know that they are in the process of moving/moved premises. x
