Flash me your tiaras - please

Katscamel, 5 January, 2011 at 18:06 Posted on Planning 0 35

Hiya

Am having a tiara type stress and need inspiration. I think I have narrowed it down to a gold band with a flower at the side - probably in a turquoise but have yet to find anything am 100% in love with. If anyone has any ideas or just wants to flash in order to brighten up my rather boring evening then that would be great.

    Hi

Hope it's ok to flash but if you are looking for someone to help you please give me a shout. If you have a look at my Happy Clients: https://www.katievaledesigns.com/HappyClients.html Robyn (she's a Hitcher) had a bespoke flower on an alice band. Everything I do is hand made to order too so I can work with your colour theme.

    Hope this helps

    xx

Sorry about the big pic but it's the only one I have where you can see the tiara better - this is NOT me, but my MOH who is lending me her tiara as my "something borrowed".

    Hi,

I'm a jewellery and tiara designer and can alter any designs in terms of colour, materials, size, shape and gold bands/metal can be used on anything as well, so if you see something on my website, www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk but want to tweak it or chat about a totally different design then I offer a free, no obligation bespoke service. I have a lot of new designs on my Facebook page as well www.facebook.com/lynseysdesigns1.

This can be on a band or comb but it is shown here on a clip and then a comb

    and a more detailed design

I can also ship anywhere you want at cost price for the postage.

You can see just some of my customers wearing designs here (a lot are Hitchers) https://www.facebook.com/lynseysdesigns1?v=photos#!/album.php?aid=31431&id=138437779505448 which might give you some inspiration.

Happy to help if you need anything.

    Lynsey x

Looneysh - if that's a style that you like you might like my 2011 "First Dance" Collection (sneak preview here http://www.facebook.com/louloubelledesigns?v=photos#!/album.php?aid=33980&id=109659329056257) or the Aster tiara on my website http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/tiaras_bands.html#tiaras_bands_aster

I've also got the exact same pearl element used in stripeyrache's band if you were interested in that being incorporated.

Happy to make some suggestion to suit your dress if you wanted to email me on ****@***********.**.**

Do you have any ideas how you are going to style your hair? That and your dress are the main deciding factors usually for a hair accessory so if you need a hand to narrow down choices feel free to email me some pics/ideas you have and I'll give you some pointers.

Your dress will also help to decide what materials would look best in any accessories whether it be Swarovski Crystals, Pearls or Diamontes. The quality of materials can vary from designer to designer so it's worth asking what people use to work out what is best value really and what will suit your budget. x

    Thanks Lynsey!

I have some pics I like as ideas for hair (loosely up and curled so I don't fiddle with it and tuck behind my ears all day) but not sure what comes first, the hair or the tiara! My OH is about a foot taller than me so I thought I'd like some height added by a tiara and then I started seeing the side tiaras which I really liked but not sure what hair you could have with them. My dress is quite a simple, classic style with antique looking diamante buttons just down the back in a cream/off white colour and I'll be wearing antique pearls with a little bit of sparkle as the jewellery so the tiara definitely needs to be more pearls than bling. I just like so many of the designs seen on here, not sure what would work best!

I agree with Starstruck that the hairstyle is more important to decide first than the hair accessory.

I have various samples available to try on before you buy so if you wanted to you can welcome to borrow a traditional tiara and a side tiara to have a play around with before deciding for sure, you could always try your dress on and use the samples to see how your overall look comes together. I only do this with Hitchers but it's always been really helpful to brides and gives them a lot more comfort knowing that aren't ordering something they aren't sure about. It's no obligation as well so you don't need to order anything at all.

I can also send you samples of cream and off white pearls as well as crystals so you can see them properly. Pearls come in various shades so you wouldn't have a problem matching up to your dress.

No need to stress, Its all about personal taste, things aren't how they used to be 5 years ago, there's some fab designs on the market,my biggest tip is look to your dress for inspiration, if its heavily detailed ,tone down your accessors, and if its simple you can carry of a statement piece, I hope this helps x

Hi Lynsey I've looked at your website a few times, and really like your designs. I would prefer to try on some tiara's before deciding which one to go for. I believe you stay fairly close by, 30 min drive I think, I'm in East Dunbartonshire - Lenzie. I'm mega busy over the next few weeks, but I'm hoping to arrange a meeting with you in a month or two...would this be ok?

    Hi Looneysh,

Yes that's absolutely fine. I'm in South Lanarkshire and I'm not far from the M74 so not too hard to find. x
