As in the July 2012 thread, a few of us are hoping to have a go at making our own bunting. We're getting married in 6.5 months but as we both work full time, are renovating a house, and I have a time consuming hobby (horses!) we don't have much free time for wedding related things. Therefore we went to town this morning and bought our bunting fabric - 19 different types, all in red, black or white (or a combination, lots of polka dots going on!) and have spent a lovely chilled evening together watching TV and cutting out seemingly endless triangles. OH is chief marker-outer and I'm chief cutter-upper and we've made excellent progress - 294 triangles so far!
I estimated that we'd need 700, but it looks like we'll end up with more than that from the material we've bought, so as we hadn't get solves the problem of how to decorate the pew ends in church (flowers were too pricey!) we're also going to make short lengths of vertical bunting to hang down each one, and hopefully put some across the entrance porch in both the church and the wedding breakfast venue.
No flashes from me yet, but would love to see your to keep me going when I'm cutting out my 650th triangle and wishing I hadn't started!
