Thanks Mrs T ?, I had my cars booked (a Royale and Daimler) until I seen these American style Limo's, wanted them for years but only found them a few months ago, a litle more expensive but worth it I'm sure as they come with champagne [Smiley laugh)

    I am having these guys...

With a slightly smaller cart (This one - will have to give it a clean first, and I think florisit is going to decorate it, hopefully not quite in this style!) ...

Not your typical 'wedding carriage' - but as I am getting married on the farm I grew up on and having an outdoors country wedding, I think a cart with Suffolk Punchs will be fab! Have known the guy who owns the horses for years - I used to ride my pony up to his farm in summer, and our whole family went out in the cart about 15-18 years ago for my Grandpa's 80th birthday. Its nice and big too, so me, 3 bridesmaids, my dad and my mum are all going to arrive in it - and then afterwards he's going to do rides for kids/any guests who fancy it.

We are having a 1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III, she is called Daisy. The gentleman who we are having the car of has supplied me with its history. Which will be nice to keep, as she has worked for the co-op in ireland and the government.

He will pick up h2b, and his 2 nephews, then will take the 3 bridesmaids and then come back for me and my mum

Are you actually having the ceremony on your farm? How did you manage to get a license?

Yes we are! It is not licensed - so we will be nipping into the reg. office (no guests) first thing in the morning to sign the paperwork.

Ahhh, brilliant. So who's doing the service for you then? Your wedding sounds fantastic. On the way into town I was explaining to my OH about the cart and the Suffolk Punches and he was saying, "Oh my god, that's awesome, just what I would want!" Bless him.

(I only ask all this because we would want a similar style doo, as we would get married on my parent's land in a marquee.)

The woman doing the ceremony used to be the town registrar - but she left to set up her own business doing ceremonies freelance. I guess you could just get a friend to do it - but its quite nice to have someone do a 'professional' job of conducting the ceremony and be confident in what they are doing etc.

So you'll have seen your OH in the morning? Or do you sign the paperwork separately? And do you still have a ceremony thing with vows, at the registry office or not?

    SORRY FOR THE THREAD CRASH!

Yeah - we will see each other briefly at the Reg office on the morning (could have done it a day/wek before or whatever, but we wanted it legalised the same day as our ceremony). You can have as much opr as little as you like - We are having the minimum reg office ceremony - No rings, no 'walking down the aisle' or 'giving away' (doing all that later) - just 2 witnesses, and I think we have to say 4 words each. Its designed for people who don't speak english, so you have to say 'yes' and 'no' a few times to confirm that you do want to get married, and are not brother and sister. No dressing up etc - as we don't want to take away from our 'proper' ceremony. Then he'll drop me back at my hotel to get my white frock on, and we'll catch up later on in the afternoon for the wedding!

We are viewing the registry office bit as literally just signing the paperwork (even in a church wedding you have to nip off round the corner to do that bit). Then it means we can have whatever ceremony we want for everything else without worrying about licenses, venue restrictions etc.
