All my card was from PDA Card & Craft, ribbon from ebay.

I printed it all at home on my little kodak injet printer, on A4 card, cut out all the pieces with a guillotine and assembled with double sided tape.

Easy enough, but don't underestimate how long it takes!!

I did the same with table plan, table names, menus, order of service, favours and thank you cards!

Did you just buy A4 card from them? Did you have a template for the foldover card? I'm thinking it would be better to do these as i have a lot of info to put into my invite!

I bought A4 card (my printer didn't like the smaller bits) - I laid out all the pieces I needed in powerpoint using text boxes in the right size and played around till I got it all to fit. I double sided the additional info bit too. Trial and error!

Mrs C, did you buy the card with the flowers on it already and then just print on to it?

No, I bought plain sparkly card, bought a graphic design online from fotalia which I tweaked to match my scheme and put it all together myself.

These are ours! Colour hasn't come out very well but it's purple card with lime green ribbon and the insert cards are all cream. We had some great shots from our engagement shoot so wanted to use them in the invites. The ribbon that runs along the bottom also goes around the back and is used to tie the invite closed. vIt took forever to guilletine the insert cards to be the right size! I'm just glad they're all done and sent!

The pocketfolds were either 140mm or 148mm square, I can't remember now!

Mine is a Kodak inkjet... really cheap ink and the printing was really good on my sparkly card.

Oh wow, they are all so good! Very professional-looking. I quite fancy making my own but really don't think I'm creative enough! It's great to see some inspiration. Did you just get ideas from designs you'd already seen elsewhere?

They look lovely! Do you know where you can download images from- like nice flower or heart graphics? What programme did you design them in?

I downloaded mine from fotalia, there are lots of stock photo sites you can purchase images from.

I tweaked mine in photoshop but that was mainly because I wanted to change the colours to match my theme.

I then used the graphic and text boxes (fonts downloaded for free from dafont.com) in powerpoint to lay them out, other Hitchers have used Publisher or other graphics programmes.

Mine were simple but time consuming - all hand embossed.

Bottom right are evening invites - they had a mother of pearl heart button sewn in the corner.
