Here's my engagement ring, have no idea what type of WR to get as it has millgrain detail down the side and leaves quite a big gap without a shaped band!

When we were in Scotland for me to meet his parents, my OH took me to Huntly Castle and although I already had my engagement ring, he bought me a silver band ring (below) as a "second engagement ring" which at the mo I wear with my engagement ring. That has "Anam Charaid" spelled on it - which apparently means "Soul Mate" in Scottish Gaelic...

I want a plain platinum band for my WR as I think there's more than enough diamonds already (if there's such a thing?!), just hoping a regular ring will look OK with it, and not leave too much of a gap.

Mine ER is added as a named item on our home insurance (make sure you have a valuation if you are thinking of doing this as you don't want to under-insure!) and we have photo's of it, along with a copy of our valuation certificate with our lawyer to make sure that if we get robbed, then we have a safe copy of stuff

Don't have a wedding ring just yet but a simple band with a couple of round diamonds in it would be nice. This is my engagement ring, a sapphire with a small round diamond on either side set in white gold:

Its this one from Ernest jones, im pretty sure its product code **** , it was £325 in store when I orderd it but when i picked it up they let me have it for the online price of £299!!

Mine's going to be like this, but shaped so that it fits flush against my ER ? Excuse the wrong way roundness of the rings and the funky fingers!

Here's my ER. No WR yet. Off to York tomorrow to trawl the antique shops on the off chance they have something that will fit/go. If not, I'm going to have to have one made!

Hannioli, is yours being shaped a bit like VM's? Very nice.

Here is mine there is a little gap between mine but I love them both so much!!!! I think a few of us have the same wedding ring on here!!!

No, it's going to be shaped a lot more, so it will sit completely flush against my ER, so it'll be cut out to fit basically.

My ER isn't a straight band, it gets narrower towards the diamond and then the diamond setting sits out a bit from the shoulders, so a shaped band like VMs would sit close-ish, but there'd still be quite a big gap where the shoulders of the ring meet the diamond setting. That just annoyed me when I tried on a ring like that, so I decided I wanted a custom shaped WR. It'll look weird by itself, but as I'll only wear it by itself on the wedding day, maybe even only the ceremony, I don't mind!
