cola, 22 March, 2010 at 22:48 Posted on Planning 0 17

Fingers crossed OH is going to book this mill in Noooorfolk Broads tomorrow! we've checked on google maps and the nearest neighbours quite a away down the lane!! its basic inside with a giddy sofa but its so isolated and different i can't wait i've been promised champagne breakfasts by the river (so lets hope it doesn't rain!!) Anyone else want to flash theirs?

    Hi Cola

We're still deciding on where to go for ours. Currently thinking Yorkshire, the Cotswolds or Norfolk. We are considering borrowing his uncle's house in Nice too but I think we're leaning towards staying in the UK. Where abouts in Norfolk are you staying? It looks fab!

Are you going away for a honeymoon in due course too?

We went to Wales for our HM as we're going on a cruise in Oct. It was lovely, better than most holidays abroad that I've been on. Here's a few pics.

    Our gorgeous little lodge....

My lovely new hubby by Lake Bala which was 2 mins away from our lodge...

The pics really don't do much justice for the beautiful scenery, it was gorgeous there.

Cola, I have a friend who has a house on Goa who absolutely loves it! I'm sure you'll have a fab time.

We're planing to have our mini moon the week following our Wedding and then a full honeymoon in September. Our loose plans are 2 weeks in the Cook Islands/Tahiti with maybe a couple of nights in Fiji followed by a fortnight in New Zealand to take in some of the rugby world cup.

We're going to Budapest for 3 nights day after wedding. This is the maximum limit that anyone else can look after our boys. OH and I are going to away child free for the first time in 3 years. Who-hoo. Hope it doesn't snow too much though.

Just out of interest - why do you call it a minimoon and not a honeymoon???

To me, the holiday you take straight after wedding is your honeymoon?? Whether it's in the UK or not...???

Just curious. I'd not heard of this term until here.

I called mine a mini moon because we are going on a 'bigger' holiday later in the year. But I don't think HM's in the uk should be called mini moons just because theyre not abroad, the UK can be just as lovely in some places.

I would say mini moon is a few nights away before a 2 week posh holiday later on in the year. We're having our honeymoon about 6 months later.
