Flashy flashy flash flash! Updated again at the bottom!

elemden, 15 March, 2015 at 20:00 Posted on Planning 0 25

I can't hold this in any longer. It's time for a mahoosive Sunday evening flash!

First our venue

the entrance Hall

The ceremony room

Ballroom where we'll have Wedding Breakfast

Terrace (Ceremony room is the 3 windows on the left)

Table centres. These are by our florist but we are having dusky pink flowers (Roses, ranunculus, peonies, gypsophilia)

More by our lovely (and very Rock n Roll) florists. You know you are on to a winner when one of the two florists has full sleeve tattoos!

Our unbelievably talented and super cool photographer. The effects he makes with light are amazing.

The ring my h2b proposed with, on the banks of the canals in our very very favourite place, Bruges.

Which is why we're filling these with haribo rings for our favours.

My ceremony and day dress

This is my evening dress...not done up properly here. The belt will be worn with both dresses.

My short dress will have this turquoise Hell Bunny petticoat

And fantastic Royal Blue satin shoes

Not forgetting my personalised Gazelles for any point that the heels become too much

Hair trial with super easy updo...no messing with it during the day/evening.

and finally...the suits...

Phew...flash done!

They are hire suits. Peter Posh based in the West Midlands. It's a royal blue mohair mix lounge suit called Westbury. My h2b loves them as they have a bit of a two tone effect. (And he looks so so so handsome in it I cried in the shop!)

    Thank you thank you all!

The big day is 41 days away and I'm getting more and more excited as it gets closer. Just waiting on the last few bits to be delivered. I suppose I also need to start printing and cutting out/stringing wedding signs and tying bows around sweet scoops!

Running the risk of lots of people shouting at me...it's from China. It came very quickly and is lovely quality.

I think I've been incredibly lucky to find all of these fantastic people, the venue and accessories. Especially so as we only got engaged at the end of November, so less than 4 months in and with just under 6 weeks to go. It all came together so well that it certainly seems like it was all meant to be!

All looks fab! And ur full length dress......i had that dress on in the changing room for over an hour, decided it was the one and paid a deposit for it. It was only when i went back 2 weeks later that i changed my mind as i hadn't been able to stop thinking about another dress! Spent another 2 hours trying them both on again though! Its a gorgeous dress, the back is just so amazing isn't it?!

I love it, even though it's absolutely nothing like the dress I had intended and gives me occasional dress wobbles. The assistant in the shop found it. I insisted I couldn't possibly have a strapless dress (possibility of back fat!!!). She insisted it would look beautiful. I tried it and knew it was THE ONE! With a 3/4 sleeve lace bolero and jewelled belt it 'only' ended up £350 above budget. Add in the fact that I've since lost a stone and is therefore now being adjusted its around twice my original budget, but as my lovely h2b tells me, we are only doing this once and may as well have exactly what we want!

Very tempted to add more flash, but I will resist!

When i tried it on they had some straps that i was going to add. They were wide lacy ones that matched perfectly and would have just attached with a hook and eye inside. Think they were £25. The dress i have gone for is strapless but having something added to that as I'm far too top heavy to be comfortable with strapless! The only reason i didn't get ur dress is because i suited a sweetheart neckline better. Dont have dress wobbles, its an absolutely beautiful dress and you are going to look stunning....cant wait to see pics of ur actual day!

Thank you. I knew I had to go with a contrast as I couldn't match an ivory petticoat. Seeing as my shoes are my 'something blue' I thought it could go together. I'm really pleased with the petticoat!

It was actually a Christmas present my MIL was given. I downloaded the banner letters from Martha Stewart and did a bit of stringing this morning.
