*FLASHY* mini feather palm centrepiece

judeclarke, 2 April, 2011 at 19:26 Posted on Planning 0 2

I decided that big feather palms were just too darned expensive (£35 to hire or £40 to DIY) so decided to try and make some mini ones (£17 to DIY)

We've decided to try plasticine and foam doesn't work too well, and crystals are too expensive, we might try prisma glass or water crystals.

If we do them in 8" vases the overall height is less than a foot - is that about right do you thin?

I think they look really nice! Had not thought about feathered centrepieces.

They look good but just remember to have them above or below eyelevel as they can be really difficult if they are in the guests way.

Yup - thats why we're having them short, 11-12inches tall should be short enough shouldn't it? Looks OK on our dining table!
