No, not at all. All wedding shoes must have a minimum heel height of 1.25inches, but must not exceed 3.75 inches...

Of course it's all right, it's your wedding! Wear what you like! As long as your comfortable and you like them, that's all the matters. There are some lovely flats out there. Happy shoe shopping!

I totally agree with everyone else, you wear whatever you are comfy in. I'm wearing a pair of cute dolly shoes that have sequins and embroidery on. My H2B is about 2 inches smaller than me so I think he'll be the one wearing heels (Cuban at best though!). I've also told my bridesmaids that their heels can't be too big as I don't want them towering over us (a bit of a Bridezilla moment I thought), I was rather nice about it though ?

I'm going to have to wear flats as well, as I'm tall and the same height as OH too!

Plus, I was a bridesmaid a couple of months ago for an outside wedding, and the whole bridal party kepting sinking into the ground! My legs hurt so much the next day (as we had to basically standing on tippy toes for the photos) I couldn't walk properly! It had been quite wet before the big day though, so the ground was soft.

There are some lovely flats out there too. These are a couple I have found:

My hubby is four inches shorter than me so I was in flats, and no one commented/cared (it's not like anyone can see your legs is it!) Mine were from Faith, they might still have some in the Debenhams concessions.

I got some lovely flats from Next for mine. I was planning on braving heels (never usually but thought they might make me graceful!!) and wearing my flats at night for dancing, but my stoooopid dress shop have shortened my dress too much. They said they'll 'fix it' but I might be in flats all day now to get the full, floor sweeping length of my lovely frock!

Oh absolutely its ok! One of my bridesmaids is quite tall and doesn't really do heels. We are also hoping for nice weather so are looking at getting some sort of sparkly flip flops like the ones below

And if I didn't have such a complex about my (lack of) height I would be joining her!

My wedding was meant to be in June 2012, and i was planning to wear flip flops! But now its in Jan 2012, i am wanting to wear Ugg Boots, whether i'll get them or not is another matter lol, if not it'll either be something flat or with a tiny tiny heel

Me and my OH are the same height so i will be wearing flats or a very small heel. Although i am very tempted to wear Ugg boots! Especially as they have just brought some out in CERISE PINK ?? They would match my bm's and i have a cerise pink garter! Plus the look on my MIL2B's face would be worth the sweaty feet ?

My shoes are flat, they are ivory dolly shoes with silver 'buttons' all over.

I'm the same height as my H2B too and would like to keep it that way, think it would look silly on photos else.
