Flat shoes?

MrsLtobe, 18 November, 2010 at 17:05 Posted on Planning 0 22

Hey all!

I'm hoping to find some gorgeous flat shoes for my wedding (MY OH is the same height as me and I don't want to tower over him, plus I want to be comfy!)

Maybe with a peeptoe? On a budget though! Any suggestions? Not sure what style... hmm...

I'm in the same position as you. These are what I have found so far:

I'm also having these as my something blue, for the photos afterwards:

    Hi Illacit...

I can see that the second ones are rainbow club but what about the first? I plan on changing shoes on the way to the reception! Smiley smile

The first are my favourite out of the two. They are made by Pink By Paradox:

Just a tip, although some people would prefer to wear flat shoes, your posture and the way your dress fits you would look much better if you had just a tiny heel (the height difference between you will be minimal and therefore not noticeable).

You'll notice it in the photo's...I did when I changed from my heels which weren't that high to bridal flip flops.

I do worry about that actually. Having said that, when I have worn heels in photos with my OH I look very odd as I lean to one side (into the hip) to make myself look shorter!

Oh good. I was hoping they would be. I remember you mentioned to me that you'd gone ahead and ordered them, but I didn't hear any more. How is the sizing?

Damn! Must have missed it. Do you think the embellishment will catch on the dress? This did concern me.

    I'm a size 7, but a proper one (as in a Euro 41), so I think I need to order the 8.

please excuse the not so sexy socks! you can see how uber wide my feet are but they are comfy and they will be covered by my dress!

I did also rub my hand over the broach to make sure it wasnt going to snag the dress!

From this website - https://www.myglassslipper.com/wedding-shoes/low-heel although it's in the US I'm sure if you googled the designer/shoe name you could find them here!

Aww date twinnie! out of curiosity how do you fare getting shoes generally on the high street? I have the opposite problem at the other end of the spectrum with size 3 feet!

I've just been shopping for bridesmaids outfits for my friend's wedding and me and the other bridesmaid (who had size 9 feet) couldn't find a pair of shoes that came in both our sizes!!!

Date twin! ? It is a real pain unfortunately. A lot of shops incorrectly size a 7 as a Euro 40 (it's more like a 6.5), and then miss out a Euro 41 (a true size 7) having a Euro 42 for a size 8 (which is too big!).

Trickers - Yes, I love being tall, but unfortunately my OH is only half to 3 quarters of an inch taller than me, so I'm mostly in flats and low heeled shoes. Oh to be shorter! ?
