Oh no, is there much damage? I am not sure I would cope with being flooded again!

Luckily J had taken the aftenoon off and managed to get a pump going fairly swiftly

it's mainly the cellar, and we've not bothered reinstalling the cinema room after the last time and have set all the utillity room stuff on raised platforms now
    so it's not too bad

I had to wade through some pretty bad bits after the bus got stuck on the way home from work though

Oh no! At least you have the pump, and raised everything up! Flooding sucks!

Gah! I had to walk home from work as the buses were diverted.

I was having a coffee at the student union, and only had to run to my car on Winter Street, at the back of the old nurses' school. Got completely soaked in two minutes, and my car was sat in the middle of a gushing stream! Thank goodness I live at the top of a ruddy great hill, as I did in 2007. How much do you want to bet that the A61 is closed for two years to repair a 10m stretch? LOL! Hope everyone is dry and cosy at home now!

I didn't see it but my Dad works at Olive Grove bus garage and phoned my mum to say that loads of the cars were flooded in the carpark. Also, all the ground floor of the garage was flooded. He is at work until 1am ☹️

I'm a bit stressed about it as I have been given a huge project at work today that I need to finish before I go on holiday next week. I wrote loads of notes this afternoon and am worried about how I'm going to get to work tomorrow. Normally I would work from home but I hand wrote the notes and need them. I am really hoping that they pump out the water from under Heeley Bridge.

I just saw that on Flickr. Unbelievable to say it only started raining at 4.10pm!
