Florist Required (Suffolk) - Recommendations Please :-)

Not sure if my lady is too far away but she's amazing and very down to earth and extremely reasonable for a florist. She is Caroline Price of The Orchid Room Weddings (she lives in Wickford) and travels all over the place. We live in Colchester and getting married in Finchingfield in just over 3 weeks (eekk!! Can't wait!!)

We met quite a few florists and Caroline was the only one who stuck with our budget and worked with that instead of trying to go way over. She used all the normal names for flowers too and not just the Latin ones. We couldn't have picked anyone better. She's lovely and if it's not right she might know someone more local to you that could work.

The only other thing I can suggest is to contact your venue and see if they have any recommendations, mine is great but alas I'm a Bucks bride so I think a tad too far away!

We can highly recommend The traditional Vintage flower company. They're based in Essex, but we've covered a wedding in Suffolk together before so they cover the area ?

I'm not too sure how far our florist delivers but we used https://www.newbeginningsflorist.co.uk/about-us

The lady there is loverly and talks you through everything. She works out the sizes you need (like I went for a long bouquet instead of posy like my MOH and she knew the size that'd look good against me, as in a really big one would look silly). She's also very reasonably priced, and what I found really handy is I could make appointments on Saturdays.

You can see the flowers she did in my report below (I dont really want to post photos of me/guests on here, but you're welcome to go have a nosy at them). If you click on the photos it enlarges them.

She did my bouquet, MOH's, 3 little girl wrist corsages, the mum's jacket corsages, the mens buttonholes and two stem vases we had in the room we signed our registrar and then moved to the head table (you can see them in the photo of the headtable during the meal).

Hi Katie I am using Kaye Souter, and can thoroughly recommend her - so far!! She is a little bit more pricey than some, but when I met her, she totally "got" my vision just from talking to her.

I have since met her another time at a wedding fair and she remembered me & my OH's name, even though she'd not met him!
