(Claire), 6 April, 2011 at 11:34 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi Guys,

On the morning of the wedding our flowers will be delivered but here’s the question logistically when and how do we get the button holes/corsages to the relevant people ie wedding party plus nans and grandads’s is this part of the best men / bridesmaid job??

The florist will deliever to you and any buttonholes for the Bridal party will usually be delivered to the Groom for the Best man to take to the church where he or the ushers will make sure that they are given to the relevant people.

Its the responsibility of your ushers to sort the buttonholes with the bestman ensuring everything is in place and sorted. The other flowers for you and your bridesmaids will be delivered to you.

Yep, leave it to the ushers!

One of ours picked the flowers up for us as it was local to them and another 2 distibuted button holes from a list (only our immediate family had buttonholes).

I'd speak to the florist - ours has agreed to deliver everything to my house and then putting the buttonholes / corsarges in paper bags for collection by my brother, labelled which which house they are to be delivered to. eg: Nan and Grandads in one paper and labelled as such on the outside so my brother can easily drop it off.

This is a blue job in our house! It'll be left to the boys to sort out theirs and mine will come to me!

Your florist should deliver to you first, then take the grooms to his house, she should have asked you for a list of which buttonhole/corsages you would like delivered to the grooms house, and to your house. It is then up to the ushers to take the rest of the buttonholes to your venue to give them to the relevant people. Hope this is helps.
