Flower hair accessories, help needed!

countrebeckular, 4 February, 2014 at 16:02 Posted on Planning 0 8

I'm thinking of having my hair similar to the styles below but can't to decide whether to go with fresh flowers or something already made. I'm also struggling to find and nice flower combs/clips. Does anybody know of any good shops/websites?

    Etsy?

I think fresh flowers would look amazing, the smell and the real flowers would be really special.

When is your big day? Have you had a chat with a florist or a hairdresser yet?

My hair trial is in 2 weeks so feel as though I should have already bought a comb for the hairdresser to work with.

I agree that fresh flowers would be special so I might buy some to take to the trial for the hairdresser to play with.

    Etsy! Of course!

    Thanks

Oh I love these pictures, from my experience I love working with fresh flowers there is just a real nice touch to them and if you speak to your florist they can even have the flowers trimmed and wired so it makes it easier to clip into the hair. If you don't decide to go with fresh flowers accessorise do some lovely flowers at a reasonable cost also. Good luck.

I'm sure my sister got hers from accessorize when she got married. She wore a veil for ceremony, drinks reception and photos and then replaced with flower for rest of the day...she looked lovely!

I'm in the same shoes (erm ... flowers? hair?) as the OP. Want fresh flowers in my hair with / without other accessories. I'm meeting both the florist and a potential hairdresser this weekend so hopefully I'll have a clearer idea of what can and cannot be done.

If I may pass on a word of warning that was given to me: I discussed the fresh flowers idea with a friend of mine (who was a VERY hands-on MOB last year) and showed her all the pictures I'd collected. She pointed out that yes, fresh flowers look great in a photo-shoot, but not so much 7 hours later, which I have to admit I hadn't even considered. I'm even more intrigued to hear what the florist will say now.

I wanted flowers in my hair, but after thinking about what it might look like after 7 hours, I changed my mind.

I did a lot of googling to find out exactly what I wanted and found 3d jewellery (a HIB) on here. She was fantastic and got me exactly what I wanted.

    Thanks for all your advice.

I did wonder what it would look like after 10-12 hours, so am thinking it might continue looking for a nice clip.
