flowergirl shoes- when to get?

happy_feet, 3 June, 2011 at 22:05 Posted on Planning 0 9

How early can i buy shoes for a 5 year old. We have just over8 weeks to go, do you think I can get them tomorrow as I have her here with me tonight, or do you think feet will grow in that time (spot the person with no kids!)

Have you asked her parents how often her feet grow? That might be the safest bet

I don't have contact with the mother (she and brother aren't together), and to be fair my brother isn't the best in these kind of areas, I didn't get much response when I asked what size they were

My little boys feet grow really quickly - he's 9 and a size 5 (nearly a 6). When he was 5 he was growing every few months.

My daughter was a flower girl two years ago, she was about 5 at the time, please leave it to as near as possible. My daughter put her shoes on a week after the wedding and screamed cause she couldnt get them off I had to use scissors to cut them off. Her feet never grow so i was shocked they had grown so quick, also glad they had waited a week Smiley smile If you do get them now make sure there is room to grow but obviously still fit Smiley smile

We've decided to wait for another week or two to get the shoes for our flowergirl and my nephew as they are constantly growing and i'd like to give them the chance of being able to wear them again too ?
