FLOWERS!!!!

jparratt, 9 July, 2008 at 21:53 Posted on Planning 0 7

I am getting married early next year, civil ceremony with 3 Bridemaids, 4 ushers and the usual wedding party. My question is what is a reasonable budget for the flowers?

I used to be a florist and would say think about your budget that you have in mind (something that you are happy paying) and then have a look at the flowers you really like. Also if you are wanting to save more money have a look and see what flowers will be in season at the time of your wedding. A good florist will be able to make any budget work well.

Hi your budget is a very personal decision. It is ok to have someone advise you on what things cost but it is up to you to set the limit! Now, this is where the common sense comes in handy! Sharing your budget with your florist is very important so they can design and create your wedding flowers. That will fit your tastes and your budget I cannot stress that enough, as I always tell my brides.

I saw an article recently that estimates that couples spend 5-10% of their budget on flowers if that's any help as a starting point. Obviously though, as everyone else has said, it's a hugely personal decision how much you spend on flowers and will depend a lot on what flowers you want to use, whether you're decorating a venue too etc etc. Tell your florist up front how much you have to spend, and work together to achieve a realistic design scheme within that budget.

You haven't given complete details. Without completes detail no one give you the right idea. First you have to give the complete detail about the area what type of flowers you needed what color you like for the decoration without any detail no one gives you the accurate cost for your wedding decoration.
